My wife and I are taking our 16 mo old daughter to Disney at the end of Jan. We wanted to get some insight as to what to expect as to what rides we might be able to take her on. We are not expecting too many possibilities, and we plan to take it slow. Disney operators have told us that any ride w/o a height requirement would be ok but we are skeptical of that. We think small world, TTA, Carousel, and maybe Pooh...Any thoughts are appreciated.

Also, does anyone have any experiecne with the "Switch off" system??? Does it work as well as everyone says???

Depending on how big she is you can do so much!!!!!

Lets see, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Magic Carpets, Pirates, Hall of Presidents, Small World, Carousel, Dumbo, TTA, Buzz Lightyear, The Steam Train, and even the Barnstormer...(I have seen very tiny ones on the Barnstormer!)

I'm sure there are more.. in Epcot you could probably do Spaceship Earth, The Land Boat ride, the Universe of Energy Ride, the Mealstrom, and the Mexico boat ride. You could also do the Living Seas.

Lets see MGM... the Beauty and BEast show, the Great Movie Ride, the Playland area, Fantasmic (if they can stay up that late), Muppet Vision 3D. They might like the Indiana Jones show as well.

Animal Kingdom, there ae wonderful things. There is the Safari ride, the Tiger Trail, the Lion King show, the Tarzan show, The play area there as well.

I took my daughter when she was barely 2, and she went on all these, and then some!

The child swap is very nice. It works wonderfully.

Your little one would love

MK's Dumbo,Buzz Lightyear,Peter Pan and Tiki Room show,Jungle Cruise,Legend of the Lion King, the MK Train.

MGM's Little Mermaid,The Bear in the big Blue house show[has a new name],Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D,Fantasmic show

AK's Festival of the Lion King show,Pocahontas show,Bugs Life show,Rockin' Tarzan show, Kilimanjaro Safaris,Camp Mickey-Minnie

The chlid swap works great. Some rides have different ways of doing the child swap so always ask the CM at the entrance of the the ride line how the child swap works for that ride. We took our dd when she was 16 months and she went on everything that did not have a restriction.

We took our son at 14 months and the baby swap worked like a charm. We had an older child with us, so he got to ride everything twice! When you swap you don't have to wait in line the second time, the parent who has the child goes to some sort of holding area. Most of these areas had benches or a wall you could sit on. We took our little guy on all the kid friendly rides (and there are many) and when he fell asleep in his stroller we ran to the big kid rides. He got a nap, we got to go on the cool rides we would have otherwise missed, and our older son got to ride twice (parent who has child first may take one other person on the ride). You can use the baby swap with fast passes. Always ask as you enter the line, last time we went they gave us a card to show in order to get on the ride. The fast pass baby swap combo is great, I highly recommend it!
