So I have been trying to work on somewhat of a normalcy routine or schedule of some sorts so I can still incorporate everything I want to do into a daily process- which NEEDS to include DIS boards... and wedding planning. Can you tell what my priorities are?
Work is going well- I still loathe the commute.. but what can you do? I am getting to know my co-workers better, and am learning the aspects of the job more and more each day and am feeling more comfortable and confident. I am still going to get my stuff together and start getting my name out into the teaching world again, I am hoping for maybe 2nd or 3rd grade. Contracts tend to go out in April and May so I want to go ahead and make sure everything I have is up to date and ready! I am going to check out some more local schools, and hopefully maybe score a teaching gig for next fall.
The procrastination has already begun on the wedding front (even though I swore I was going to be a good bride!

) My goal was to get my STDs out by the end of March.... and well here is APRIL 7th, and I am no where near having them ready!! I am still waiting on DF's mom to come up with exactly how many people she plans on inviting... our make-shift guest list is sitting at 128 right now.. Ideally I would like to be at 100 or less, which for a big chunk of the list, I know most won't be able to attend- but still going to send them invites anyways.
I have the STDs designed- I just need to get a rough count so I can print them (and see how much ink and paper I am going to need) and find some envelopes and stamps... I debated on having my design made into a postcard- but they are still kind of pricey for my liking... THEN I debated on not even sending out a STD since most of the people already know the date anyways- but I feel like it is my bridal obligation to send them?

Plus- it is the best way I know to get our wedding website and all the details out there too!
ANYWAYS ENOUGH ABOUT THAT!
On a positive note.. well actually two..
ONE- I am off today which is super nice and the weather is great!! Also you can tell by my onslaught take-over of posts on the main board, that I am indeed off.. and procrastinating..
TWO- I finally saw Tangled!!! You girls are right! I LOVED IT!! I haven't been this giddy about a Disney movie in a while..
So onto the wedding stuff!
As you know we are having all groomsman- so the tuxes are kind of important since they will need to really carry the black and teal color theme. Also being that there will be 8 guys up there, there needs to be a distinct difference between the groom and the man of honor. So I have been playing around with some different color combos and ideas I found an awesome website with a tool called the
Build-A-Tux which was incredibly helpful and was nice to see the ideas I had in my head.
This is what I came up with so far:
GROOMSMAN- Still with the black and teal- but more emphasis on the black and just a hint of teal.
MAN OF HONOR- Same color palette, but mixing up the colors and making him all teal and no black other than the tux.
GROOM- Sort of combining the two and making him black and teal. I had the idea of putting DF in a bow tie instead of the traditional tie so that he stands out just a little more. But would it look silly to have all regular ties and only one bow-tie? Here is both.
For their Boutonnieres I am going to more than likely just do a single white carnation-with a hidden mickey in the center?
Also- as far as tuxes go- what should I have my Dad wear? Should he match the groomsman tuxes? Or should he stand out too? I was thinking just a classic tux white and black and a teal carnation?
