Day 3 (Septermber 2nd)
We all began to stir around 8:00 and quickly readied ourselves for another magical day. After grabbing some grub at everything pop, we headed over to MGM. Shannon really loved the sorcers hat and insisted that we go on the ride behind it first (GMR) we all walked on with no wait, I love this ride and was soo suprised when DD wasn't afraid. In typical fashion we had the gangsters (I have only had the western bank robbers once) Jojn really played it up during the Alien scene and hid underneath our daughter (lol)
The pppl in the car were getting a kick out of this grown man being afraid of the Aliens!
After we headed toward the muppets and once again walked right on, I saw the key under the mat which excited me since I have never been able to find it. This was another big hit with my five yearold, she especially loved the old men LOL. We came out of the muppets and then John and I rode star tours while mom, and shan grabbed a snack, we headed back over to the backlot and saw the lil mermaid show (huge hit with Shannon as she loves Ariel) John took Shan over to see playhouse disney after while mom and I watched One man's dream (I really liked this as I have always been fascinated with Walt Disney) After meeting back up we headed to the backlot and road the backlot tram, Shan liked catastrophe canyon alot more then I thought she would!
We finally ended up at the sci fi for lunch around 1:00, Shannon really liked the atmosphere. We only had appetizers and drinks because we have always found the food to be mediocre at best, however the place was empty so it really was a nice place to just cool down. After our semi lunch, John took Shan to play in the backyard honey I shrunk the kids playground while mom and I played millionare (unsuccesfully) we all met back up and then decided that mom and Shan needed a break before dinner tonight so they headed back to the Pop while John and I rode TOT and RNR, both of which we always love. At this point talk about the hurricane was really escalating and I got the feeling that we were going to have some interrupted plans, so John and I began talking about what to do next while we headed back over to the resort.
By the time we got back to the PoP, It was about 5:30 so we all began getting ready for dinner at Ohana. Everyone wore something hawaian in typical fashion and then we started over to the Poly be hitching a bus to the Mk and then taking the resort boat over. It is always such a relaxing journey to go this way. When we got to the Poly, DD just gasped at the scenery, this has always been our favorite resort so we just can;t get enough of it. We headed up to the restauraunt and were seated immediately. We had a spot right in front of the windows with an MK view and Wishes began as soon as we sat down. It was nice that they shut the lights off and play the soundtrack while the fireworks go off, Shan really enjoyed this. The food at Ohana was soo good and it seemed to never end, this was all of our favorite meal of the trip. Shannon really enjoyed the hula hooping and coconut racing activities as well.
After dinner we headed over to the resort again and John and I decided to go to DTD. We both ended up at Pleasure Island and played some pool in the rock n roll beach club, while drinking a few beers. After we headed back to the pop and swam in the pool before falling alseep at about 1:30 in the morning! we were pretty tired and still had to wake up early to enjoy our last day before the dreaded storm!
