We are going in Sept with a 9 mon old, 3 1/2 year old and an almost 10 year old. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed!!!!!!  :scared1:
I am looking for your tips on travelling to WDW with our newest one. What was great? What was not? ANY tips would be appreciated. Flight, packing, stroller, food/eating/drinking (nursing), clothes, rides, etc etc....

Thanks in advance!:thumbsup2

We just went in Feb and DD was almost 10 months old. I was very nervous for the trip but it could not have gone better. We basically went with the flow and didn't have any strict itinerary other than a few dinners and breakfasts that we wanted to do. For the flight I took a couple new teethers and toys that she had never seen before and I gave them to her throughout the flight which really helped keep her occupied. I also took a portable DVD player and she watched Johnny and the Sprites and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Also took lots of different snacks for her to enjoy. I must say between all of those things, she was very content on the plane. As for going to the parks...DD gets up pretty early which worked out nice b/c we could just get up and go. We would usually stay until around 2 or 3 and then go back to the room so that she could have some downtime. She usually would fall asleep at the park and nap there so when we were in the room, she wanted to be down playing and moving around. I also packed some of her favorite toys from home and she loved playing with them in the room. We stayed at the Poly and requested a crib which was really nice. DD slept so well when we were there that we decided we wanted to live there b/c it was the best sleep we've had since she's been born :lmao: As for eating, she was still nursing 3 times a day so I would nurse her in the morning before we would leave and then again while back in the room for our afternoon break and then once before bed. She had also at that point started drinking water so I would fill a sippy cup with water and she would drink that throughout the day. I took her a few jars of babyfood on the plane and we stopped at a grocery store and bought more food and diapers when we arrived. I would just take a ziploc bag and have all of what I needed for eating each day. I would usually take 1 jar of cereal (DD will only eat cereal from the jar) and I would also take 1 fruit and veggie for lunch and then some baby goldfish and graham crackers. I also took a pack of disposable spoons and bibs which was so nice because I didn't have to worry about losing things. A lot of the time she would eat table food and we did not even use the baby food but I felt better to have it with me in case we went somewhere that didn't have anything. She was able to eat at a lot of the restaurants. At Liberty Tree she loved the stuffing, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. At Ohana the waiter brought her a bowl of mac n cheese without us even asking but she also loved the scaplloped potatoes there. We would take her out in the evening for dinner and just play by ear on how long to stay out. As for the stroller, I bought a Combi EX before we went b/c I did not want to lug my huge Graco and boy was I happy! It folded up so nice and was less than 12lbs which made it easy to carry. We were there in Feb so for clothing I did a lot of layering and would just remove layers as the temps warmed up. I packed a few extra onesies and basically one outfit per day and it worked out well. I hope I've given some advice, I feel like I've just rambled on! I'm sure you will have a wonderful trip with your little one! Feel free to ask any questions!:goodvibes

Thanks for the reply and the advice. We bought a small DVD player for our older 2 but didn't consider one for him being so young, but he may be able to use it, Huh?!
We do have ADRs for many meals and kind of an itinerary, but I can always leave with the youngest and my hubby can stay at the parks with the older 2.

I HOPE and WISH our sleep situation will be like yours!!!!!!! Hope the pixie dust is heavy and ample when we go in Sept!:rotfl:

You can ship down supplies ahead of time which might make things easier. You can also ship cases of water (for free through Staples rewards) to your resort.
Nursing makes things easier because you don't have all the ''extras'' to carry around. You can either go to the baby care centers, or find a nice shady bench..or my favorite ride the TTA and nurse away..lol
Do you have some sort of carrier (a GOOD comfy one) like a sling(hip carries) or a Mei Tei or Ergo type? They are great for when you can't have a stroller or for standing in lines. You can PM me if you would like i can give you some awesome carriers to look into..if you are interested.

We went in march 2005, my dd3 was then 11 months. Our trip went great( except a side visit to the ER with a "throat infection" for dd11months, never even heard of one before then, but that had nothing to do with her age! We were able to go on many rides with her, she was fine with the characters, and was very good in the park, she just enjoyed looking at everything. Sure there are more diapers, wipes, and bags to worry about, but that is any where you go out with a baby. Don't worry I think it will go alot smoother than you think. Our dd11 also slept fine in the hotel room crib. The only thing that sticks out that was a little difficult was getting through the airport, having to take her out of the stroller and put everything up in the trays( that was the first time we travelled with kids so we didn't even know what to expect), this time we will be ready to put everything in the trays and walk right through. Good luck and have a nice trip with your kids:goodvibes
