Am I crazy??? LOL

We are huge Disney fans and cannot wait for our babies to meet Mickey and friends. We are going in late September . We expect to take it slowly, relax and just enjoy being a family. Any ideas or pointers?

Thanks!

I think the most universal advice you will get on this board is: don't expect to do it all. With babies you are mostly there to soak up the atmosphere, not take in all the attractions.

We expect to take the time to smell the roses so to speak. We are going for 9 nights, so we have plenty of time to do aything we want to. We will let their moods dictate how it all goes. they are easy going 3 month olds, we will see what they are like at 10 months lol

Oh - I'm so excited for you! We went when our twin DD's were 8 months old. It was definitely a different kind of trip than we ever did before, but it was still great! Be prepared for everything to take you about 3 times as long to do, and plan to take it slow, but you will still have a great time! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about traveling with your little ones.

I don't have twins or babies anymore, but ...

as long as you don't mind the babies dictating your pace and activities, you'll be fine.

WDW is truly a magical place - even if you are just strolling through the parks. The atmosphere is wonderful!

We went for Thanksgiving '03 when DD was born July 10th. We didn't make any plans to do anything specific and you should be able to do everything in Fantasyland except maybe teacups. We got her first pic with Mickey then too, a must for a Disney family. Just think of it as a getaway that happens to be at Mickey's house...

I would take what you need for a day or two and have diapers, formula, baby food delivered from GardenGrocer.com or some other grocery delivery. I would stay on site. I would stay in a moderate or higher for the extra space. They also have refrigerators. If you are staying in a value, pay for the fridge. We went when our twins were 9 months and I was pregnant. We had a great time and took it slowly. We went back to the hotel every afternoon for naps and a short time in the pool. The babies loved the pool.

I am trying to think what else we did. Our babies were on powdered formula and were used to drinking room temp bottles. This was great. We used the little packets and filled bottles with bottled water from the parks. We would buy a bottle a alittle bit before feeding time so it would warm up to about room temp. When they were ready for the bottle we would dump in the little packet and be set.

Take tons of pictures!!!

I'll try to think back to some other things.

We too are travelling with our 8 month old twins in less than one week.

I have been preparing for this for months but today, I somehow don't feel ready at all.

I think this is one of those situations where you take things as they come and really, don't have any set plans, contrary to all the planning I have been doing.

We are driving from Canada with 3 little ones so if we are still sane once we arrive at OKW, we should be fine~!!:rotfl:

We plan on taking the ready to feed cans of formula so there is no messing with mixing up formula when we are there.

I bought those disposable Pampers Bibsters for lunch times and plan on heading back to the hotel for afternoons and dinner time so really only one meal in the parks.

We are planning on taking their Jolly Jumper and Exersaucer so they have somewhere to be when we are getting ready in the hotel.

We bought a lightweight Peg Perego Stroller side by side with a rain shade, and ray shade for the parks.

I have been getting them use to playing in their pack and plays so it is no shock when we get to the hotel and the cribs we requested may not be available.

We also have the 2 snugli's for when they want to be held and we are waiting in lines at the parks.

I have a blow up Munchkin duck tub for baths in the hotel.

Gosh, so much to think about but I will let you know how it goes and what worked and didn't work when we get home.

Nah, you're not crazy. ;) We leave for Disney next Friday with our 10-week-old twins in tow. We're driving, most likely through the night, so they can sleep during the trip.

I'm breastfeeding - usually every three hours during the day, so that will be our biggest hurdle in the parks. I plan to nurse them in a sling as we walk around and stand in lines. They sleep a lot, so we'll have our double stroller with their infant seats. DH has a Baby Bjorn, so they can both be carried at the same time if needed.

We're staying for six nights in a 1br at SSR (we're DVC members), so we plan to take it easy and not kill ourselves. We also have two dds, 7 and 4, who love to swim, so we plan to spend a lot of time at the pool just enjoying Sunny Florida.

 :dance3: :yay: :wizard: :santa:

(Forgive the smilies - my 4yo wanted to see them!)

We are going to be staying at the BCV. We will rent a car, so I will make a trip out for diapers, formula, wipes, baby food etc so I will not have to pack much of it.

We are excited!

Excellent resort choice. My signature below shows all the times we've taken our twins to WDW since they were born. Our first trip, they were 7 months old and we stayed at AKL. Big mistake lol. I mean, great resort, but not convenient with babies and ALL that baby gear, double stroller, etc. (because of constantly unloading and folding the stroller for buses....). So, as you can see, after that trip we only stayed at monorail resorts or Epcot resorts. BC is our favorite, by far.

Let's see, when our twins were 7 months old and then 13 months old in Disney, we had wonderful trips. Great family bonding time. Yes, plan to go slow lol. Some of our greatest memories of all these Disney trips are from when our twins were babies. We brought the travel size ready-to-drink cans of formula and they worked great. Hopefully your twins will fall asleep in the stroller as easily as ours did because that is when we enjoyed great sit-down meals. Restaurants were very accommodating to us and let us bring our stroller right to our table. Very, very great memories.
