I would pick the Fantasy - most importantly, I would get a Cat 8A (cabin 5020, 5022, 5520, or 5522) for the extra space, divider wall, and two large portholes. It only has the single bath (most cabins have 2 half-baths, one a toilet + sink, the other a tub + sink).
I love the floor space, access to closets, longer desk. This was 5520. I recommend 5020 or 5022 due to some noise from movie theater (or Walt Disney Theater). These cabins only sleep 3 people (no pull-down upper bunk).
Kid’s side (back of sofa flips forward, with built-in twin bed). There are two TVs, so not everyone has to watch.
View from the bed. Other large porthole is to the right. Bathroom is to the left, as is front door.
I do not take advantage of having a verandah when I get one, so I would hands down rather have room inside the cabin. I enjoyed sleeping with the curtains open and waking up to the view of the ocean.
I do like the 5-night Double Dip itinerary. It makes a nice beach vacation - if your idea of a day (or two) at the beach does not require big water slides, a pool, loud music (like
Royal Caribbean‘s Coco Cay).
You might think they are outdated. They still have decor from the 2010s - and that was styled after the early 1900s’ ocean liners. But not falling apart; they are in continuous update, fresh paint, new carpet… You can see what part of a cabin looks like in these photos. And all bathrooms from 1998 - 2012 ships (until the Wish) are the same look.
I recommend you decide the length of cruise, itinerary, and embarkation port (for travel/transport and pre-cruise lodging) AND budget more than picking your vacation by the ship (for Disney).
