Does anyone know, if you can buy FL Res. 3 day passes at the welcome center in Ocala? If so, do you need a AAA membership? Also, do you get an actual ticket or is it a voucher to be exchanged at the parks? We would really appreciate any info. you can provide. We are FL residents in desperate need of purchasing our DS a ticket, before going out of town tomorrow. :sad2: We live in Tampa & would rather not drive all the way to Orlando. We have to drive by Ocala anyway. FYI, we don't have a AAA membership, if it's required. :guilty: TIA :)

Sorry, I asked this on 2 boards, but we're desperate.

I was under the impression that it was closed.

Florida residents passes are available to any resident. If I am not mistaken only the AP's and SAP's are done as vouchers. I think the multi-day passes are actual ticket media.

You can also order them on-line--depending on when your sone needs it...it can be shipped to you. Not sure how long that takes though.

Thanks, you're probably right. We've never stopped there, so I didn't know if it was still open or not. Unfortunately, our DS needs the ticket next week. He chose to go to WDW with my sister & her kids instead of going on a cruise with us. :( I would let him purchase it at the park, but he's only 14 & doesn't have an ID. I don't know how he could prove he's a resident. :confused3 I know we should have taken care of this sooner, but it's been kind of crazy around here lately. :guilty:

Does he have a report card and student ID?

And if you don't object--he can bring the power bill or something with him.

Only Adults require proof--but that at least removes the doubt.

I definitely don't have a problem sending our power bill. I was thinking of sending my license (I have an extra, because I had to renew this month.) & a power bill & having my DSis say he's her nephew, & his mom lives at this residence. You don't think they'd have a problem with that? I'm afraid he'll get over there & they won't give him a FL resident ticket. :guilty: Thanks for your help. :)

I don't think your son should have any problem at all.

Before you leave in the a.m.--I would give Disney a call just in case just to see what they say. At least it will comfort you in knowing that he shouldn't have any trouble.

Bottom line--minors don't require proof and he should attempt to buy the ticket without it and only provide it if they question it. Your drivers license or copy--and anything that shows who he is--which is why I suggested a recent report card, should work.
