Looking for help. 2nd marriage at age 45 and I want to do something simple, not expensive, and easy. I have 14 people who will be at the service. I would like to get married in July, during the week, during the day. My first choice would be on the water by the Floridian or by Yacht Club. Can anyone share their Disney wedding experience and how to cut the cost down.

To be by the water your best bet would be at the wedding gazebo at the yacht club. You can have an escape wedding to keep the costs down as long as you keep your guest count at 18 or under.

Hi, we had an Escape wedding at the Yacht Club gazebo on 10/10/10.
It was really stress free, really easy to organise, and, comparative to average wedding costs, really reasonable
(We added Mickey and Donald since we had a young child (and several young guests) which put the cost up a bit)
We had a lovely day, and still have our watches, and candles.
The standard photographer took some really lovely photos, and took time with us before and after.
I totally recommend it as an easy way to have a special day, and as a lovely way to include small people, and not have them get bored.

1) OK.
. . . rent a large pontoon boat.
. . . tour the Seven Seas Lagoon and/or Bay Lake
. . . have a officiant marry you on-the-boat
2) Cheap and easy to do.
3) Maybe not in accordance with Disney wedding package offerings, but it is clever-simple*legal.

NOTE:
Just make sure someone continually drives the boat.
If it stops for the ceremony, a boat safety-patrol (life guards) may come by and ask why you are not moving.
This is a common practice for the safety patrol, and well deserved.
As long as the boat is "under-power" and moving, there is not a problem.

I am starting to plan a Disney wedding as well right now.. but cant really afford a Disney Wedding because we will have about 50 guests. So we have been looking into Cocoa Beach! I have found some really affordable packages and its so pretty. And I am hoping to have my party all go to Ohana after, this way we will have the Disney flare (and fire works). This is just a rough idea so far... But the cost is so much lower doing it this way. The next morning we are planning on getting re dressed up and getting photos at the MK.
