Disney Wedding Help...Live Bands?

This is my first post on DisBoard & I really hope I can get a few people to respond! So I'm having my wishes wedding in Disney World next October & I was hoping to get some advice on a couple of things....Since we have already gone over the budget we we're trying to stay in, I was hoping to save a little money by hiring an outside live band. (Since Disney bands START at 7,000) Not sure if that will save anything, as I know that they charge about 1,500 if you want to bring in your own live entertainment. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I don't think I've ever seen a DISbride who had a live band (probably because we're all so thrifty ) so I'm not sure you'll get a lot of replies if you're looking for band suggestions. I'd search the general wedding websites that non-Disney brides use to search for vendors in Central Florida (The Knot, WeddingBee, maybe even Craigslist) and see if you can find a group whose price is low enough that the $1,500 fee won't be a big deal.
