    Hello,

So, I have been trying to change a booking online on the Disney website for weeks now. I keep getting this message:

    We Had to Duck Out
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience, but disneyworld.com is not currently available. Please check back in a few minutes.

Well, I have been checking back every day since mid August. Still the same.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm starting to get worried about getting my changes made......ever! LOL!

I know we aren't going until Dec, but I would like to have this settled and I am a little concerned about if the discount will still be available. I tried calling a couple of times but didn't have time to stay on hold for hours and eventually had to give up.......wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue?

There have been a lot of problems recently with Disney's MDE. Their IT is aware of the issues and is working on them. Most of the problems are related to tickets, FP's and dining reservations.
That said, it shouldn't take hours to get thru to Disney resort reservations right now. I made a couple of calls to the resort reservation line in the last 7 days and my wait was less than 5 minutes for each.
Hopefully if you call you will have a short wait too.

MDE is a phone App, but I got the impression you are asking about their website:

    https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/

The Google Chrome browser works better than IE. Occasionally, I get that error and just click 'refresh' and then the page has always loaded successfully for me.

I would be more surprised if the thread read "Disney site is up"

MDE is not just a phone app, it can also be used from WDW website.

I was starting to think it was just me!

Question though, because reading these responses it sounds like it IS working for a lot of you, just have to keep trying...is that the case?? I've been trying to set up Magic Bands for a couple weeks now and no matter what browser I use or how many times I try, it won't work. I'm not as concerned there, I'm going the first week of December so I have some time, but I'm very concerned about the Fast Passes I'm going to be setting up in 2 weeks

Try logging out and then log in. Or log out of the AP and go to the Disney website and sign in to MDE from there on a computer or laptop instead of the phone AP.
See if you can do what you want that way. Also, try practice making fast passes inside a 30 day window and see how that goes. Then delete them of course.

Logging out and back in doesn't seem to be working (I'm using the website).

For fastpasses, it's just giving me the error when I click saying that I'm not within 60 days (which is fine of course, I'm just concerned it won't be working come my 60 day window).

Magic bands, nothing, it just gives me the "digital experiences not working" error and doesn't even display 3 of the 5 members of my party. Friends and Family list shows only me. If I check the reservations I already made I can see the names of everyone in my party there, although the avatar only displays for myself and one of the members of my party who has her own account (the other 3 people are set up through mine). The other three show just the generic avatar rather than what I set them up with, and they aren't there under Magic Bands or friends and family.

Hopefully they will get this working soon, I'm just surprised it's been so long.

Try clearing out your cache/cookies and quit your browser before signing on the website. I use Safari and have no problem getting on the website.

It hasn't been working for me all week. I've run into many glitches and down times with their website over the years, but this is one I've never run into before and the longest lasting. It is affecting the website and the app. It was fine last week when we were down there, although the app was a bit glitchy, i.e not showing everyone on FPs. Clearing history, cache, cookies, does not help, nor does changing browser. Mind boggling how bad Disney's website is!

I am using Safari on a Mac. I have tried everything. Quitting the browser, shutting down the computer, clearing cookies. Nothing allows me to look at resort availability or change anything. My biggest concern is getting the resort issues cleared up so I guess that I will need to take the time to call. It is just so much easier to do online. Umm, I mean usually...LOL.

The other concern is the rapidly approaching FP+ window. With a short 4 day trip getting some of the high demand FP's will be difficult enough if the website will work. Like this it is impossible!

Actually, I may have solved the problem - think I'll stay at the Dolphin. Now all I have to do is cancel the Disney booking.....hope that it is easier than trying to change it.

OK - just me... If I see "Dump Cookies" one more time? I will dump MY Cookies. Do you need to play these games with Amazon.com?
Nope. Because Amazon wants your money. Wanting your Money? They have a serious BUSINESS Web Site. WDW does not.

What to do.... WDW Web Site upchucks YET AGAIN (oh, it's gonna happen):

    Walt Disney World/Customer service
    1 (407) 939-5277

Phone CMs are WONDERFUL. I suspect they are the only ones keeping WDW alive :). Please CALL - so the Phone CM's get more money, WDW "Web Services" looses money, and WDW Management begins to GET the value of a BUSINESS Web Site -with actual change control, skilled personnel, a serious BUDGET, and a real CIO.

Meanwhile? Keep your phones handy :).

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

If this helps, when I have to call, I usually do it weekday mornings between 9 am and 12 noon, when a lot of people are at work, and normally end up not having to wait more than about 10 mins. to get someone.

Absolutely no need for you to apologize! Thank you for trying to help! Also, thank you for the email addresses. I think that a message to these may be required at this point. Those in power need to be aware of the frustrations caused by their poor IT.

    Update:
The last time that I tried to get into resort reservations a pop up for a survey appeared. I was able to at least offer my answers to how well the website is performing! There were many 'Just OK' and even more 'Poor' selections, I'm afraid!

I am planning to call and straighten this up this morning.

Thank you to everyone for your helpful replies!

Well good luck to anyone trying to change a resort reservation online!! I used to be able to do it easily, but as of the last few trips, it just kicks me right back to the same page after I hit the change button. I tried everything listed in this thread, tried on every device I own, even tried on my DD's school-provided laptop! I finally had to call which worked out just fine, but just not nearly as convenient.

I cant get my reservation linked. Im staying at SOG and my reservation was there two weeks ago now its been gone for a week, I type in the reservation # and it pops up but asked for members of the party I pick one and it says names do not match and throws me out and wont link it. I called Disney and they transferred me to SOG! How can they help? He didn't see anything wrong with the reservation.. Im about to pull my wig off...lol What if it was time to get dining or fastpasses then I'd really be mad.
