Disney Website, AAA, Costco or Other?

Hello! It’s been a few years once I planned a trip to DLR. I’m going late June or early July 2020. Should I book direct through Disney, or use AAA or Costco or a vacation planner (e.g., I use Dreams Unlimited for my cruises). Thanks!

Why not continue to use Dreams Unlimited? They book Disneyland trips too!

Costco usually has the same rates as booking Disney directly but they have gift card offers which is nice extra spending money

I would look at booking things myself, then compare those prices to the package prices. Sometimes you can save quite a bit by booking things yourself. If you have any questions about this, ask! People on this board are pros at this!

I agree. I always looked at booking separately and then compared the prices to AAA, Costco, Disney, etc. Most time separate is cheaper, but occasionally the convenience of booking a package may be worth a few bucks more.

I've used Costco the last two times and I love getting the gift card when I check in. They don't have all the good neighbor hotels on their site, but I've always found what I wanted.

And the Good Neighbor designation doesn't really mean much at DLR, so don't worry about whether a hotel has it or not. If you have any questions about a hotel, just ask about it here first.

If your trying to go on a budget I usually do everything separately. There are a TON of hotels that are within walking distance of the resort(some are actually closer to the park than the Disneyland Hotel). Discounted tickets can be purchased from Last Minute travel(though you need to call them to get prices) and under cover Tourist also have discounted tickets.

I just came back from WDW where I used a travel agent and if I go back to WDW I'll use an agent again. But Disneyland is cheaper to do each section seperately ( tickets, hotel) as well as less complex as WDW planning. I just booked my hotel for a trip I'm doing in April and trying to decide if I just do an AP or buy a discounted ticket then upgrade as I planning on 2- 3 trips to Disneyland this year.

Plus, you can pay with Disney gift cards when you want on Costco website. I really like that.
