??Disney/VMK Pumpkin carving contest??

If I ran a Disney Pumpkin carving contest and gave away something decent (VMK), would anyone be interesetd?

I think it's a great idea! Knowing my pumpkin carving skills though, I'm thinking I'd better buy them in bulk to allow for a few slips of the knife.

(don't worry, all small children and pets will be keep at a safe distance while I create)

That would be how it would work I suppose. You would send me a digital photo with no identifying marks in it (e.g. don't carve your name into it ) Blind judging by a yet to be determined panel of judges to be fair. To qualify it needs to be Disney (including VMK & DIS) related designs. Must be carved or layer scraped. Not sure how I feel about painting yet. One entry per person. Multiple pumpkins as long as they are related to the same theme are allowed in the same entry.

I need to know fairly quickly if there is enough interest too so please post if you are even thinking about it. If I get four enteries, I'd be sort of dissapointed

The prize list is looking pretty good

I do not want to reveal the prizes until I have all of them figured out but I highly doubt you will be disapointed

All participants will recieve something unavailable to anybody else as well (not VMK related)

This sounds awesome! My family was already planning on making Disney-related pumkins, and we all play VMK, so why not enter? lol. I don't know if my whole family (of four) will do it, but I can guarantee at least one entry from us!

I'd be interested. My daughter picked out a gigantic pumpkin and I thought of a really neat design for it. Haven't carved them yet since they'd be mush by Halloween.

Your's has very different rules as well. I might even enter since I can't enter this one

One thing I will highly suggest though is not require the photo to contain the person. It's a privacy issue ESPECIALY for kids. Try to have it contain something like a current newspaper or some other odd thing that wouldn't normally be in a picture.

I did take away the posing with the photos, but I thought because the adults would be the ones actually carving it there would be no children.
