Disney Visa...

"Just make sure you use them before your card expires or you will loose them. "

I think I have had my Disney Visa for 2 years. Did I lose any reward money? Is there an expiration like unused miles? Or are you saying that when I get the "gift card" that has the expiration? I have absolutely no idea on this. I just have the Visa to get ''discount" advertisement like the free Dining plan right before Christmas.

When you order the reward card itself, that card has a 2 year expiration date. So any points that you put on that card have to be used by the expiration date on the reward card itself. When you order a card, you do not have to put all of your reward point on that card then. You can put however much you want (over the 20 points they require to get a new card), and then put more on later, etc. You can also pick up the rewards cards at DL or WDW at the guest services areas. Then you call the DV number and activate it and put your reward points on that way. (I have done this when I knew that I would not have enough time to receive it in the mail for our trip!)

I have used my points on the cruise line 2 times, at WDW and DL for hotel costs, food costs, souvenier costs, etc. I love having it, and it has paid for many things on our many vacations!

we usually use it for DDP. This year we are not getting the plan so it will be used for meals and whatever else until it is gone

Another vote for using the Disney Rewards Dollars to pay our DDP at check-in. I always apply for the bonus offers that arrive through-out the year and love watching the points add up. Since we normally travel around Spring Break, we never have been able to take advantage of the "Free Dining Promotions" in the fall. But, when I use our Reward Points to pay DDP, I can convince myself it's like eating for free (of course now we have to pay tip out-of-pocket, so the shine is off the apple a bit...but I still like the feeling of paying for DDP with the Rewards Dollars!!)

anyone aware of any current bonus offers going on at the moment? (That may be where that guy's 3500 came from?)

Well I called the above 800# - it's an aoutomat & you must have the code.

So I called the # on the back of my card and asked how can I get in on this & they said marketing determines who.

I tried the link above & you must have a code. I tried using the one on my statement under customer ID , bit it didn't work.

I followed the Rewards link on Chase's sight & signed-up for email offers.

Maybe next time.

Thank you for posting your results Melani.

I have received the last three - and it's been a while since the last time before that. Hopefully again sometime soon.

I would love the code too. I am going to purchase a new desktop and would love it if that purchase qualified. Any information that can be provided would be appreciated.
Thanks.

If it is the same promotion I received, there is not a universal code, you need to use a specific one they supply to your account.

Also you only earned the extra points when you spent above $750 in a specific spending category for example gas or groceries, etc. Electronics were not included.

Hope this helps!

The latest offer (for January, February & March) allows 5x DDRDs (Disney Dream Reward Dollars, now that's a mouthful!) for purchases from Dining, Gas, Groceries and Airlines. Since we have two cards, the minimum amount after which you will earn the additional dollars is different between the 2 cards (I use my card for everything, thus my minimum is 3 times that of my husband's ... guess they know who to target!!)
I usually get an e-mail confirming the offer, then a follow-up postcard reminding me to sign up. Even if I don't sign up after receiving both of those, I have had luck just calling the Reward toll-free number and asking which offer I was eligible to receive. I know the specific amount and enrollment code is attached to a particular card (believe me, I've tried to use the lower amount assigned to my husband's with my own card and it would not work! :headache:)...still, every little bit helps. Wishing those that need a code Good luck!(Hope you get a low minimum amount to spend:woohoo: )

Thanks for the info. I'll register for the email notifications and watch my mailbox.

I did not think I was going to get it but I got it again today. I need to spend $500 first on each or a combination of gas, dining, groceries and airlines.

Just finished enrolling. I should charge my groceries and then turn around and pay the bill - this is where I spend a lot of $$$$$ on.
