Disney Visa?

It is so worth it! Pays for almost all of our sit down dinners and some gifts from DTD.

The Disney Visa is currently our main credit card. When we go in January we'll have enough to pay for food on the trip. I also like the 6 month interest free period they offer.

Can someone tell me how I go about receiving my Disney dollars so I can bring them on my upcoming trip? I think I only have about 65, but that is a few souveniers for my kiddos:) I just have no idea how to "cash them in". Thanks!!!

You have to call the Disney Visa Rewards Number and request the gift card...it looks like credit card and is refillable online or over the phone through the expiration date on the card! It take about 10 days to get it in the mail!:thumbsup2

Thanks so much Wendy! One more question...where is this number? Is it on my statement or on my card?

We LOVE our Disney Visa!!!!! i think the best time to get it is when you have major purchases or projects to handle and you have the money to pay it off. Once again... I repeat...you have the money to pay it off immediately. We do not believe in credit card debt!!!!! We have a very high credit limit on ours, so we used it to renovate our kitchen and bathrooms and a few other big purchases. We pay off the balance immediately via online payment. Putting all of those on the card has given us over $300 in reward dollars, and the greatest thing is that there is a zero balance. We are letting our DD3 use the reward dollars when we go on our first family trip to WDW in the very near future!!! I honestly think it's the best card we have ever owned!!!!!!! I know everybody has their own opinions about credit cards, but even you have to have an expense card it works out great!!

I put my DVC membership on my card. Used a conventional real estate loan to pay the card off.

There are soooooo many better cards out there. I am a very frequent traveler and I have experimented with many travel cards. I would never use the Disney Visa.

Delta AMEX
Free Annual Companion Ticket
1 mile for every dollar spent
17,500 miles for enrolling

US Airways Visa
2 $99 Companion Tickets
1 mile for every dollar spent
25,000 miles for enrolling

Starwood AMEX
10,000 bonus points for enrolling (Free night at Swan or Dolphin)
1 point for every dollar spent
**Can redeem points for Swan and Dolphin @ 10,000 points per night**

Cash Back Cards
Many cards will give you 3-5% cash back. The Disney card only gives you 1% cash back. Why cut yourself so short. If you spend $25,000 per year on your card you could be getting between $750 - $1,250. Spending $25,000 on the Disney card will only give you $250. The difference speaks for itself.

I just saw on the main page that there is a Disney Visa Magic Your Way discount form 10/07 to 12/07. It gives the codes, but doesn't say what the discount is. Anyone know?

Hmmm, it seems to me that I might not get the card. The only reason I was going to get it was because I thought it would save me alot at WDW or give me some privelages especially for cardholders. Am I right in thinking that the only thing you get with the card is 1 Disney Dollar for every $100 spent? And 10% off at Downtown Disney? I hardly use a credit card at all, so it may not benefit me. It would be nice in the first 6 months with the 0% interest rate, but almost 14% after that is a little high. You pay the interest even if you go home and immediately pay off the balance, right?

OK, I am looking at the rewards page. It says 0% for the first 12 months for new cardholders and 0% vacation planning! Now, THAT might be worth it if they aren't charging any interest. Especially on the trip. I am in the middle of reading this and haven't got to the fine print yet, though...

They also run promotions tat are double points for months at a time.. I understand that the 1% may not be the best out there but at least you know where it will be going.. A trip to the world.. So every time i charge it is a good feeling knowing I will be back to the world and it will have part of the trip paid for by the Disney Visa Rewrds points... Also they do run deals on rooms and tickets packages.. They sometimes are pretty good if you resaerch it.. Good luck with your card hunting!! :cool1: :cool1:

I will be using my disney rewards points for the first time ever in a few weeks at WDW. are they accepted everywhere at WDW, or are there some places that won't take them? We have been racking up rewards points for about a year, and it will be very nice to use those for any incidentals, snacks, souvenirs, etc.
