I have a Disney Visa but I'm not clear on how to get my disney reward points. I called Chase and went through the options but haven't found HOW to transfer the points to $$$. Help..... :confused3

I went to the web site and it was very simple. I received my card in the mail and when I earned additional points, I could transfer them to the card I had. It was very easy.

You can call and just speak to a CS rep. They will transfer the points for you. But I agree it is very easy to do from the website.

It was a bit confusing for me as well at first. ;)I think the part you're missing is that you have to actually request a Disney Rewards Card. It looks like a credit card and can be used at any disney retailer just like a credit card. This card stores your Disney cash on it: that is its only purpose. You can request this card online; I believe its expiration date usually coincides with the expire date on your main card. Once you have requested this card, you can transfer your Disney Dollars over to the card via the website. When you buy things at for example, Disneyshopping.com, there is an option for you to choose Disney Rewards card at the point where you could enter in a gift certificate, etc. :teeth:

Also, the site will still require you to enter in a valid credit card as well to cover any balance that might not be covered by the Rewards Card. The rewards card has an independent # on it, which is completely different from your real Disney Visa Card. Let me know if that answers your questions. If you haven't been to the website yet, it's www.chase.com, then click credit cards. I have made many online transactions with my rewards card; and this is definitely the easiest and best wa y to do everything. Plus my being an introvert it saves me from talking to customer reps! :thumbsup2

I believe its expiration date usually coincides with the expire date on your main card.

Actually the rewards card is good for 1 year - January to December. All rewards on the card must be used before expiration or they will be lost.

Oh! Thanks for clarifying that. My main card expired in 12/06; so I made the incorrect assumption that the rewards card went out with it. Which brings up a question I have: if you request a rewards card in November, would it expire the next month? In other words, does it go by calendar year as your post suggested or is it a 12 month card?

No I just requested a new one (I wanted to have it so I can pay my DVC dues with it in January). The new card is good until 12/07.

Thanks Chad & Janet!
You explained exactly why I was having problems as I DON'T have the rewards card to transfer the money to, only the visa card

I'll have to order it but it won't help me for this trip as we leave tomorrow. :woohoo: But we're only talking $20 so I'll just have more to spend on the next trip.

:thanks:

I don't suppose anyone remembers how long it took to receive your rewards card? I ordered mine a week ago Sunday and selected the "rush" shipping (whatever that meant) and haven't received it as of yet. I shouldn't have waited so close to my trip but won't be the end of the world if I don't get them for this trip.

I just got off the phone with Disney Rewards at Chase.
You can get a Disney Rewards Card at Downtown Disney at Guest Services in WDW.
It is located by the Team Mickey Athletic Club and the Ghiridelli Chocolate store.
It is pretty much instant. As they give you the card and you call chase and they transfer the reward dollars directly to your card at that time.

I called about a week ago to request one, and I was told I would have it by Dec. 1. We leave on the 10th so I didn't ask about rush shipping.

Thanks Livin'4Disney! I printed off your info and will take it with me so I can redeem and spend that $20 :rotfl2:

Let me know how it goes, we leave on the 15th and will be doing the same thing to get our rewards card.
Also, a perk to waiting to do it in Disney it that you get the most up to date amount of rewards :)
Have a great trip!

I think ours took about a week after transferring our reward dollars over (it came pretty quick). I remember the system was down the few days I tried to transfer them over. Because of that we were given an extra 10 RD's :woohoo:

We Got Ours The Other Day. Since It Is Christmas Season And We Will Use It Some In The Next Month Can We Get New Purchases Credit Added When We Get Down There?
Thanks,

I'm not 100% sure if I'm following you but as long as you have the points available to transfer, and already have a reward card, you can transfer them at any time.
