Disney Visa Rewards Question

Funny. I ordered one around january as well and it does not expire until december of 2011. Read the terms of service. They are not supposed to expire less than a year after being ordered.

well doens't matter what is says that is what it was.

I just ordered mine this week and it expires December 2011

I dont doubt you. Im just saying thats not the way its supposed to be. I think maybe someone issued you an old card. Its possible since you ordered yours in january when they should have switched over but perhaps made a mistake. You might have an argument to have any leftover points extended if they made a mistake like that.

keep in mind with disney visa you can get a 10% discount on a purchase over $50 but not with the rewards card. if the whole card is for nothing but souvenirs then you prolly wont put anything on your c.c. so go ahead and use the reward card for it all.

last year i went for the first time and loaded up the card and then saved it to use on a big purchase. when i found out i was paying out of pocket for little things all week and was not about to get my 10% b/c i was using the reward card i was annoyed. this year i first used my points to pay off part of the trip. i then made two big purchases while there to get my 10% off and then saved my reward card for photopass pics once home with the leftover points instead of buying souvenirs with it.

So if I would transfer some to a card right now? Would it expire in Dec? I thought it had a year to be used from the time you transfered it.

I just received my first Disney Visa Rewards card in the mail last week. I transferred the first $20. from the website where I pay the bill. The card has an expiration date of 12/11. Hope this helps.

How long did it take for your rewards to arrive?

It looks like you can get that discount by using your rewards card and mentioning the offer. Take a look at this from their website.
