Disney Visa - rewards question

I'm thinking about getting rid of my Chase Disney Visa but was wondering if I do, can I cash out my points on a rewards card and use that rewards card in the Disney Stores to buy Disney Dollars or another gift card that wouldn't ever expire?

It will depend on the store. The rewards dollars are not supposed to be able to be exchanged for cash "or its equivalent". But some stores will still do it.

If you can't them at TDS, try disneyshopping.com, disneyworld.com (under the tickets section) or disneyland.com. All of them will take the rewards card in payment for gift cards.

BTW, make sure that you redeem and use those rewards dollars before closing the account.

I took my Chase Disney Dream Rewards Dollars card (whatever it's called)
to my local Disney Store (after I had it loaded online).
There I bought 2 gift cards and $100 in $10s, $5s, & $1s in Disney Dollars.
We used most of it on our last trip, but my DS wanted to charge to the room w/ his KTTW instead of using Disney Dollars.
So I have $50 in Disney Dollars left that they said they would buy back for US currency even though I bought them with a rewards card.
I haven't made it to the mall yet, but that's what I was told when I bought them.
That I could exchange the dollar for dollar , no fees.


But I don't know anything about using the rewards before you close the account.
