If use my rewards card to get a soda that costs $2.29, do they round up and take off $3.00?

no, it works just like cash, they take it off to the penny.

It is just like cash. Used ours last week for lots of stuff. Just remember that you cannot use them for outside vendors in the parks, i.e. popcorn cars, fruit carts, Dole whips, . . . They are cash only.

Disney Rewards can be used to purchase Disney Dollars which can be used at the carts. It is strange the Disney Gift cards can't be used for Disney Dollars.
Catal doesn't take the Disney Rewards card but they'll take DDollars! I think we will exchange Rewards for some DDollars to use at Catal as DD loves the creme brulee there!
