Disney Visa Rewards Question

I am new with the Disney Visa, but we have started to use it on EVERYTHING!! For instance, Friday we received our tax refund and we planned to use it to pay off a 12months no interest/no payment furniture purchase we made last summer....on the furniture stores website, they allowed us to make the payment with our Disney Visa! We already have the money to pay it, so in a week or so we will pay off the Disney, but we just used it for a $3500 purchase!!
Anyway, my question is - do we receive more than 1% back anywhere, for instance at the Disney store? Also, when I buy my disney dollars at the Disney store, do I get credit for those? Thanks so much guys!!

There have been offers in the past where you got bonus rewards for purchases at certain stores, or types of stores. But currently there is no such offer. You get points for everything you charge. I do not believe you get points for cash advances, or using the "convienience checks". Other than that all piurchases get you points. Buying disney dollars should just show up as a purchase at a disney store, not the actual thing you purchased. Just make sure you pay off the bill each month. The interest will eat up any value in the rewards if you don't pay it off each month.

thank you guys! We will pay it off-my DH is all over that! I just love the idea of getting free disney $$ for paying our regular bills! My goal is to have quite a bit saved up in rewards by our January 2007 trip!

Good explanation! We have the Happiest Celebration on Earth card & it gets lots of attention from cashiers. We have most all of our monthly bills set up to pay automatically with it.

So do we and at almost every store the cashier says how cute the card is. We just got through with the 6 months no intrest so now we have to remember to pay it off. We have had it since September and have $150 rewards dollars so far. Plus we have to pay for things for our wedding so that should really help earn points. I got the card when we decided on WDW for our honeymoon, our rewards dollars will be our fun money.

MY DH and I both got our own cards.. about a month ago... With them we also Each got 50 bonus $$$.. My card came first so I received my 50 $$ today... We have put everything on it.. gas, food ,, phone bills... propane bill.. I called to pay it off and the rep said I would have to wait until after the 24th when the actual statement came out... It is the best card I have.. So far in one month we have got $175 dollars... WOW and we dont even leave till Aug... Hope to have a ton a free money buy the time we leave.

Fourfun: You can pay your bill online anytime, i.e., you do not have to wait for the statement. I set my payments to be taken from my checking account.

I have been using mine to pay for everything!! I make a payment every 4 days online (if I have a balance). The only thing they have done to me, in my second month is they don't release the credit back into my account after I make a payment. They actually put a "hold" on it for 10 days. I found out about this after the fact and called disney, after making a 800.00 pymt. (paying on our cruise). Anyways, they got a supervisor on the phone for me and we conference called my bank. They checked with the bank to make sure that they funds had cleared my bank...and they had (I knew that). So...back into available credit the payment goes. In 2 months, I will have over $50...saving up for our DCL spending $$
