Disney Visa Rewards Promo offers?

... but based on a survey I had a few weeks ago, I think Chase is changing the parameters of the card around some. There were questions relating to would I be inclined to pay a small annual fee if it allowed for 2-5 points per $100 spent, special rewards/incentives for Disney vacations, et al. The survey was really interesting -- I normally loathe them but found the questions interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of promotions are due to a new revamp of the system. I just hope it gets changed for the BETTER -- I don't mind paying a small fee if I get something good in return.

I do. I pay off my credit cards in full every month to avoid interest, and I don't carry cards with fees. Besides, what a credit card company calls a "small" fee and what I call a "small" fee are usually worlds apart! :rotfl:

And I've never gotten the e-mails for any promotions!

Agreed. We also pay off our card every month. I like the rewards because I like free money. If I have to pay interest or a fee then the money isn't free anymore and it loses its appeal. Am I just trying to get something for nothing? Absolutely! ;)

If they start charging an annual fee then I will cancel the card.

Same for us. We just don't charge much and when we do, it's paid in full. We usually accumulate enough in a year to cover a couple of signature meals, but that's it. It's totally free, but if they start to charge an annual fee, I'll close the account! :)

We recently got the offer for 3x that expires in Oct. We needed new furniture so charged it to the card and paid it off. There was a max of $100 inbonus reward dollars you could receive during the promo period. We are going to F&W in Oct and it paid for our room. :yay:

I also recieved the 3x rewards promotion that ends in October. I realize that there is a limit to how many rewards I can accumulate with the 3x promo. But since I paid my wdw package with the card, will I also get the regular awards points also? Or are 'no interest' packages paid with the card not eligible for awards points?

You will still get the points on the package.

I think the special rewards/incentives would have to really, really good in order for me to pay an annual fee. It takes forever to earn enough Disney Reward Dollars to make it worth my while. If they start changing a fee and the benefits don't improve, I probably would close this card out!:sad2: I love my DisneyVisa mostly because of how cute it is!! ;)

I just got a Southwest Airlines Visa card that I have to pay an annual fee with. BUT....the benefits, I think, will out-weigh that fee. I honestly think I would earn flights faster than I earn Disney Reward Dollars. And since all I fly is Southwest and the fact that I do go to Vegas at least once or twice a year....this card probably benefits me more!

BUT my DisneyVisa is still cuter! :sad2:

... utilities, cable, internet

And then pay off the card -- allows us to accrue points but not incur fees.

Personally, I don't mind paying $50 a year if it will get me double or triple points -- if I average $200 Rewards dollars a year, that would mean paying $50 to get $600... I'll take that deal any day. Not to mention the 6 month vacation financing -- though for $50 a year I'd love if that changed to 12 months.

I can understand not wanting to pay a fee, but it's all about what you think is worth it or not. DH has a free card that does cash back and he uses that to get gift cards for restaurants when we travel -- put our cards together and it's a happy Disney day!

This is the kind of offer I've been waiting for! Hopefully they'll send out more of these in the near future.

I also have a Disney and Southwest Visa. I'll pay a $80 annual on the SW card, but I got 50,000 bonus points with my offer, which equates to over $800. Even if I pay for fees for two years, I'm still getting $640 free plus what ever points I earn (they automatically give 3000 annually.)

The Disney Visa I throw a bunch of stuff on but pay it every month. If they add a fee, it's going to depend on what I get in exchange for that fee. If I ultimately come out ahead, I'll keep it. Otherwise it's out...
