Disney Visa Rewards on Ship?

Does anyone know if the reward dollars from a Disney Visa can be used for anything onboard, ie, spa or tips?

From what I understand, you take your rewards card to the desk and they apply the amount to your account. That way anything charged to your account would be covered by that credit.

That's what we plan to do.

Yep....2 weeks ago on the Magic went to guest services desk during the week and applied my $64 reward card and they credited my onboard account that amount.

Thanks for your replies! I was hoping that I could do the Rainforest room with mine. My hubby wouldn't frown on it if it was technically free!

The rainforest is great....in the past I would buy the Rainforest pass for the whole week and never really get my money's worth as we were doing so many different things.

This time I just paid for one day and it was great. I was in and out all day on Thurs, a sea day and really felt it was worth the $15.00. Even showered there and changed into my dinner clothes with no hubby fighting for the shower!!!

Yes, you just take the rewards card to guest services. You can take all or any part of it off the card. However....if you pay in advance on your stateroom account and do not spend as much as you put on in reward points, they cannot give you a cash refund at the end. Thus, you only want to put as much on the account as you know you have charged/will charge. I bought the rainforest pass the first day, and they didn't apply it to the account till the last day (strange). Still, I knew I had charged it, so no problems.

Thanks for asking this! I want to do this on our cruise. We are going to do the Kayak excursion at Castaway Cay and I am hoping to pay for most of it with my Visa Rewards card!
