Has anyone used their Disney Visa Reward Dollars to pay for their resort stay yet? Are they valid at any resort? How long did it take you to recieve your certificates from the time you ordered them?

Thanks for the info. I am trying to squeeze every last charge out of this Visa card before our Nov. trip.

I haven't used them yet- but I have ordered them- and re'cd them in about 5 days! I've been having them sent to me as I accrue them (You have to have at least 20 to have them sent to you) (very pretty, big gold certificates). One thing I noticed on the rewards website- You Can't get change from a reward certificate- So I think it's a good idea to use them for your resort and pay the difference- That way you don't have to worry about whether you would have had change back or not.

I will be receiving two ten dollar reward certificates and was wondering what you can use them for inside wdw/downtown disney.

Here's the Official description-
Notice it says "select Merchandise....at participating locations" and " If you have any questions as to whether a location is honoring this rewards certificate,..., please ask prior to your transaction." - Not very helpful! But I imagine that you can use them at any store or restaurant- but prob. not at Kiosks....(You wouldn't want to buy a Mickey ice cream bar with one anyway- because they aren't going to give you any change)....

Your use and redemption of this rewards certificate is subject to the following terms and the terms and conditions of the Disney RewardsSM Program. If you have any questions as to whether a location is honoring this rewards certificate, or if this rewards certificate is redeemable for a particular product or service, please ask prior to your transaction.

Well, lets say you have $100.00 reward dollars and you redeem them - will they send you smaller value certificates (like 5 $20.00 certificates ) OR do they send you one $100.00 certificate?

Also, if you get them NOW - do they (the certificates have expiration dates on them??)

You can request your reward by going to the Bank One visa site and then 'manage rewards'. You have a few selections to choose from - rewards for Disneyland, Disneyworld or Disney Store. You can only get them in incruments of $10, with the exception of the Disney Store - you can get this in incruments of $20 as well.

It's very easy to request them...you do so similar to a shopping cart you would see online. You select what you want, the quantity, etc. Then you 'check out' of your cart.

You can also request a free booklet on describing the plan.

Because I had to pay for the FTP upfront, I am hoping I can use mine anywhere in Disney, including souveniers and dining.

The ones I just received on Wed. expire 12/31/2004

I used them on our trip. I had $100 and the day before we checked out I went to the front desk and had it applied to our room charge account. It was very easy! Trying to build back up for our cruise. I have a while now and luckily it will be a new year and I can try to max out for both years.

tinkfan--what's the max you can get in a year?

Anne

We have gotten a few and I am planning to give them to our kids as Christmas presents - to use on our Jan. trip. They are very cool - gold certificates! I think the kids will have fun spending them.

Ducklite - there is a yearly limit, but I think it is pretty high, like 700 reward dollars. It is based on 1%, so you need to charge 2000.00 to get 20 Reward Dollars, or 70,000.00 to get the 700!

Yikes!

I was on the phone with BankOne reagarding another matter and thought might as well order the Dis Reward Dollars...received them in about 5 days...wow they are beautiful.....got 5...$10 rewards..exp.12/31/04....we will be there in Oct of this yr..

how often Bankone changes their offers? I just got my card and the only offers I have are for a shipboard credit on the DCL, one yr subscription to the Disney mag, special gift from Disney on Broadway, Vero Beach offer, and the CD mag.

Not really anything I am interested in. Hoping for some of those double points offers that everyone was talking about:teeth:

Have a nice day.
