Disney VISA Reward Dollars - Shops in WS?

I am planning to use some of our Disney VISA Reward Dollars to buy our souveniers. My daughters want to do the pick a pearl in Japan. Will they accept the reward dollars there? Seems I read somewhere that they are not owned by Disney? TIA!

What I've done in the past is to use my Disney Rewards Dollars card as the card for my charges to the room, then charged everything to my room. I vaguely remember there was a limit to how much I could have charged to my room - I think I had over $500 in DRDs (we had gone through infertility treatments & charged everything, so we had a LOT of DRDs!), but was only allowed to put $200 at a time - I think that was to protect me in case someone stole my room key. I just paid it off mid-vacation, then added the balance of the DRDs to the room & used that up by the end!

You can even link a credit card and go down the night before you're checking out with the rewards card and pay down (or off) the balance before they charge the credit card.
