Excellent, this is what I was looking for.
Maybe the initial card takes $20 and then after that $1

i was ordering the 'initial card' and only had to put $10 on it. this post got me thinking about this whole thing so i pulled out my old cards. the card for one of my accounts had expired in December so i went on the site to order a new one.

it looks like you can also go to GR at Disney Springs and get a card.

Thank you. The disney rewards site says I need $20 to order card. Does anyone know if I can get a card at WDW?

I've gotten a card at Guest Relations at Epcot. It was an "empty" card and then I jut had to call or go online to activate and load the card. That was a few years ago so I don't know if it's still possible. At that time you could get a redemption card at any Guest Services location.

Finally officially joining DisBoards after years of doing research here. I was always able to find answers without joining and found anything I could help with had already been responded to, but I love the community and all the helpful answers everyone gives so a big thank you to the community! I finally do have a question I haven't been able to find a clear answer to. We have a large rewards point balance on our Disney Visa which I would like to use towards paying off the balance on our vacation package. I know I have to request the redemption card and I assume I can call in to pay with that card when our balance is due. But what would happen if I needed to cancel the vacation (would only happen for an emergency, but still could happen)? Would the redemption card be credited back with the rewards dollars or are they just lost? Does anyone have any experience with this?
