I wasn't sure where to post this so here goes.
I am paying for our upcoming trip with the Disney Visa.
I will have 6 months to pay but I wondering. If I was to put half the trip on there now, then the other half 45 days out would I then have 6 months on each purchase to pay interest free?:confused3

When you book your trip, you put down a $200 deposit. I did this last year and had to pay it right away, but this year, when I put down the deposit, it came up under the 0% financing. The balance of the trip is due at 45 days out, so you can wait until then and put the rest of the balance at 45 days, and you should get that for 0% financing for 6 months from the time it's put on the charge. You do not need to put half down first and half down later. In fact, I wouldn't want to give Disney or Visa any money early if I didn't have to.

I just looked on the disney visa website and you have 6 months of free interest for both halves of your vacation.

Congrats!!!

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE DISNEY VISA!!! If you plan on using our Visa card to have the 6 month 0% you can not use the card for ANYTHING ELSE. If you do, when you get your statement and apply a payment, your payment goes to the 0% first before your normal charges. So you will then get wacked finance charges on all of your additional purchases. Only use the Visa for your trip charge and use a different card for other purchase. I found this out the hard way.

I am not sure what happened here, but I can attest that in my personal experience, I was able to gradually pay off the vacation portion (with 0% financing) while I continued to charge new purchases on the card. I paid off the entire new balance in full each month and paid no interest on anything. I just made sure to pay off the vacation balance within the six months and again, to double check that I paid all new charges in full with each statement.

I tried to do just what you stated and with no luck. Things may have changed, the last time I used it was in 2005/2006. I will have to contact the VISA company again. Thx
