I am not sure if this is th right board. When you earn your Disney dollars, are they only worth one dollar when you go to trade them in? Youo have to spend $100 to earn one Disney Dollar. Is it then worth $1 when you go to apply it to a purchase? If that's the case, it will take forever to earn them!

Yes that's correct. I charge everything knowing I will pay it off each month. You don't actually get disney dollars but a gift card.

Yes, it doesn't seem like much, but it is "found" money. We charge everything we can and pay off the balance every month. Since the charges are things that we would have paid out anyway, why not earn something for them? All of our gas, groceries, etc, get charged on our disney visa. By the end of the year, we usually have around $150 in extra spending money for our trip.

It's not as hopeless as it sounds...if you charge many of your large purchases and payments, you can easily earn $400+ of free money to then spend on most anything at WDW. We have a DS in college and a DD who's still in high school with cards on our account as well, so their purchases go toward the program too. It does add up over the year. :thumbsup2

And if you charge your trip on it, that will help, too :) That is what we're doing. We'll be paying for our trip with our taxes, but I am going to put it on the DV first, then pay it off the next day LOL It'll be another $42 in Disney Reward Dollars :Pinkbounc
