Disney Visa Question-Buying Disney Gift Cards

Does anyone know if I buy a gift card from Disneyworld.com and use my Disney Visa, will I still get the points on my Disney Rewards Card?

For instance, if I buy $1000 worth of GC's to use for food, will I get an extra $20 on my Rewards Card? I wasn't sure if they would let you double dip like that or not.

You should only get 1% for purchases, which means you will get $10 extra but not on your giftcards, on you rewards card.

Note that it's really not double dipping. If you spent the $1000 on your DV at WDW then you'd get the 1% the same way as if you purchase $1000 in GCs. But yes, you'd get the $10 in Rewards Dollars.

Check your local grocery stores and see if they offer any gift card deals. Giant Eagle offers 10 cents off gas for every $50 on giftcards. I buy gift cards with my Disney visa to pay for trips, tickets, dining plans, our DVC dues, etc and then I get the fuel perks and the disney rewards dollars.

Yes you can- I do this to pay for trip incidentals and then have the DDRD's also vs. paying during the trip and getting the DDRD's afterward. The only thing you can't earn is Ebates ( or other rebates program rewards) for a GC purchase.---Kathy
