Disney Visa offers and Costco?

Just got the email with discounts for when our trip is booked. Since it's not good on existing reservations, I'm assuming I can cancel my current one and book a new one (it's available, I checked). But, I'm currently booked through Costco, free gift card and dining voucher. Of course, the disney visa rate is better than just removing those perks, but it would be nice to keep those perks. So....can Costco book me the Visa rate?

I don't think they will do that. I've looked at Costco rates vs. AAA and getawaytoday and even adding the dining etc and it comes out Like they figure that in their cost somehow and is usually not really free. I would figure the dining & gift card plus the visa rate & see what's cheaper that way before making a decision to change your reservation.

If I book directly through Disney, add the character dining, it still saves me 700. Then I'm just missing out on the $60 gift card. A better deal, yes, but even better if Costco would give me the visa rate AND their perks

Disney said Costco couldn't do it. I'll ask when I call to cancel, but for now I've got both reserved.

I did that, too. I had a Costco package booked and then got a better offer from Visa--saved $150 over the cost of the Costco package even after removing the perks from the equation. I called Costco and explained why I was cancelling but they didn't offer to match the Visa rate and I didn't ask them to.

*to clarify, we gave up the $90 dining credit and $60 gift card because we saved $300 on the package, so still a net savings of $150

I was able to book a standard room at GCH with 1 4-day hopper for $1600. I believe the offer was for 25% off if you booked a package. I have an ap but we needed tickets for my sister so we got the package and they removed my hopper. With our comparison. Costco beat the Disney Visa rate. With discounts going public next Wed. Call and see if they will apply it to your Costco reservation. It worked for me last year.

Spin off question- I have existing reservations through Disney at DLH 1/2-1/6. I called the number on the email and the lady said I should be able to do it but she and her supervisor couldn't apply the discount and that I should call back in a couple days. Seemed strange but there wasn't much else I could do. Has anyone else had issues with this? Is it because our trip starts a day early or because it's prebooked? I'm considering canceling and rebooking.

Costco honored the discount rate when I called today. So They matched the Disney Visa rate plus free character meal and gift card.
