Disney Visa Offer in the Mail Today

I charge everything on my Disney Visa now and pay it off twice a month. (I do it twice a month so not to faint when I see the total at the end of the month.)

That is a great idea! Many months my statement make me .

Yep that is correct. So if the limit is $100 in bonus rewards then you would want to spend $8,000 all in one month at the 3x rate for over $3,000 so you don't have to meet the $3,000 limit each month. That is if you will be spending that much to take full advantage of the offer.

So you need to figure if spending $8,000 is worth getting $240 back - it's not for me and I threw my offer for it away.

Yeah it is not an offer that will help out most people for continuous months unless you are using the card for business travel, etc. But in our case, we keep all our money in savings for our cruises and then pay them off in full at one time using our Disney Visa. So I was very pleased to get this offer for Jan - Mar. In January we paid off two Dream cruises (B2B) plus all of our regular monthly expenses (we charge everything we can to the card and then pay it off each month). So when the bill came, we were still able to pay it off completely and we earned the extra $100 reward dollars for January (in addition to 2 $50 OBCs for paying using our Disney Visa). The offer definitely worked in our favor for at least one month :thumbsup2

Got 3x everything over $3k. I signed up but don't expect to be able to take advavantage of it this time.

Mine was $3000 again this time, doubt it will happen, but I sign up just in case...last time I didn't think I'd make it but I bought DD a cello and had it split up over three months---hit it every time!
This time I'm shopping for a car for DS and I am willing to charge it since I was planning on paying cash, then payoff the CC, those points would be great!;)

Wow, yeah, I don't even have a limit of $3000... although I should since my credit score is terrific (but that's okay! lol) I could never spend $3000 a month on a credit card either!

Spend the money and pay the bill and very soon you will have the limit, lol.

I choose not to sign for the $3K amount for Jan-Mar or when they sent it again for April - June - I was hoping by not signing up it would let them know it was unacceptable and maybe next time I'll get a better offer - we'll see!

I am extremely disappointed about this offer.

I just received it in the mail today with the offer dates being 4/15-7/15. We paid the balance of our vacation with our Disney Visa on 4/14. The posting date is 4/17. I called Chase to see if they would honor the posting date. They told me that the transaction date is what they go by. I was told that Disney Travel would have to refund and then recharge the vacation.

I'm too worried that everything would get messed up and we wouldn't have ressies when we got down there in May. Definitely NOT worth $100. But, I'm still ticked off. Jeez. Doesn't being a loyal customer count for anything these days?

The offer is for purchases made betweeen 4/15 - 7/15, since you make the purchase on 4/14 your purchases doesn't count.I agree it sucks but that is life sometimes.

I got the offer last time ($1000) but have not gotten it this time. I guess since they paid me the max last time, they are afraid of me. Those DVC dues were paid in January and it got nearly the max for that month alone.

I usually don't look at the offers because they always have an amount you have to spend to get the bonus points. I just looked at the one I got yesterday and I got 3% on gas, groceries and dining, up to $100 with no spending amount specified. I signed up! I rarely use this card but I do have a couple of bills paid monthly just to show some usage. I also already have a Chase card that earns 3% on the same categories - maybe they're getting tired of sending me those $50.00 checks every few months :lmao:

Very bummed I haven't got one yet. I've had the card for years and only saw an offer this dec/jan for the jan-mar period, never got one before. I really don't even know what it was cuz i never use the card except for when we know we're going to disney, but i signed up anyway and forgot about it. well in feb the family decided to do a big trip this year so i have deposits for 2 WDW & 2 DCL rooms on the card and must have met the threshold cuz i got a few bucks back. so i was hoping i'd get another since I am using the card now and could probably make it.

shame about the apr 15 date even if it does come, i bought a mattress on the 10th that would probably max out my reward by itself :)

i keep hoping, my hubby gets the mail and i ask him 'did i get anything from disney?' everyday :) i'll keep my fingers crossed.

I got the 3X on dining, gas, groceries with no minimum, which really shocked me. I signed up right away and am hoping my DH gets the same offer because he spends a ton on gas.

Check the fine print I believe it's only one per household unless you have your credit cards at 2 different addresses then you'll be fine

I just got this offer again last night.... 3X points for everything you spend over $ 3000 in a freaking month !!! Who charges over $3000 in one month? On a regular basis ? ARE THEY JOKING ?? I thought, silly Disney, they're playing an April fool's joke on me !!! :lmao:

Jokes on me....it was for real. Needless to say, it's in the recycle bin.

Even if I could charge my mortgage I wouldn't be able to charge $3k in a single month, let alone OVER that amount to get any rewards.

I got this offer and it required spending $250 per month. That's not reasonable for me so I didn't bother registering for it. I'm only a few months away from paying off all our debt so the deal didn't appeal to me.

I am a charter member and have NEVER received an offer. First of the year we got an AMEX with costco and they have some items standard at 3x. So I thought forget you chase. I'm going to start charging everything on AMEX. I found I was still spending about $1k/month on chase due to some things automatically set up to charge. ANYWAY I got a 5x offer spend above $700/month. Back to Chase for a while :)

I just got 5X for over $750 per month on gas, groceries and restaurants. We might be able to hit the limit, but not sure how much we'll go over since we do a lot of grocery shopping at BJs and Target, which don't count as groceries. I wish we got the 3X for over $3000. We charge EVERYTHING for the points, but never carry balance, so I know we would get the extra points if we had gotten that offer. I think they send you the offer that is beyond your typical charges...they don't want to give away the points, but want you give you an incentive to go beyond your typical charging habits.

This is my feeling too.

My understanding is that if you shop at a Super-Walmart for grocerys, check out on the grocery side and everything counts at grocery. If you check out on the store side it won't count. Now of course I have no first hand experience, as we do not have a super walmart.
