Just curious, did you make a new reservation today or modify an existing reservation? I am hoping we'll be able to just modify our existing reservation without any problem on Thursday so I am trying to gauge it by what happened to the Disney Visa people this morning. Please share!

i modified my existing ressie. The CM i spoke to changed our dates, resort, and added free DDP without changing the reservation #!! we did however have to pay the new deposit with the disney visa, but the $200 i had already deposited on my debit card was carried over and now i have a total of $400 on the vacation :)

he did say that the rest of the vacation had to be paid with the visa... but i'm not sure about this.. did anyone else have a CM say that ?????

I modified my ressie this morning. I had an incredibly nice CM and it was so easy. He didn't even ask me for a code. :cool1: I used the 800 # and called at 6:50 and then just kept hitting redial till I finally got through I had no wait time!!

I booked a new package reservation (through Disney), and cancelled my previous room-only reservation (made through AAA).

I changed an existing reservation and added 2 more days:thumbsup2 but stayed @ same resort (POP preferred) and added free dining.

Just FYI..
You DO NOT have to pay the balance of your vacation with your Disney Visa if you choose not to!! You can mail in cash payments or use gift cards, debit cards or any credit card you choose!!!!!! You must only put down the deposit with the Disney Visa. This was told to me by the CM I spoke to (most knowledgable CM I've dealt with in a LONG time) and it was not required the last 2 times of free dining in 2005 & 2006. Some CM's make me wonder:confused3

Thanks! I was a little confused.. I just "um, okay." Because I didn't think he was right anyways. Just wanted to check!!

Modified an exsiting, but had to be downgraded to standard view at AKL, did not offer pool view on that one. I'm kinda dissapointed, but I don't know if I want to pay an extra $400 for savannah. Did anyone else have this problem?

Had an existing "room only" ressie. Had to cancel that and book a new MYW, same resort (FW Cabins), same date.

We changed our resort from POR to Pop. Cost went from $2900 for 8 nights to $1700 with 9 nights! :cool1: With that savings, I can plan another trip.

We stayed at the same resort (POFQ) but modified our dates and went from a water view room to a standard room. By doing it that way we got an extra day of vacation for $150 less that our previous reservation which was booked under the 40% off promo.
