Disney Visa Happy Dance!!!

I've never booked a package, but I have used my rewards card towards my room charge when I was checking in.

Does anyone know if the change in design of the card will change the credit card number? I loved the new designs, but was worried to sign up for a new one since we have so many things signed up to automatically draw on the existing credit card number.

Wow, I hadn't thought about that. I have a lot of my monthly bills charged automatically on my DV. I hope it doesn't. I just had to go through and change the expiration date on all my auto paid bills. The thing is you're going to get a new card anyway even if you don't call and specify a picture - all the bank one cards are being replaced with chase.

I just got my new card with the castle on it. It's really cute! The number stayed the same. :)

We also received our two cards two days ago (one for me and one for DH). Everything stayed exactly the same.

I don't have a disney visa, but I am planning on getting one. But right now, to save money, I just add $5 to each of my purchases on my check card when I balance my checkbook, and subtract $5 from each deposit. I have been doing this since late march, and I have saved over $400 already. And I normally use my check card for most of my purchases since I don't normally carry alot of cash with me.

I'm just as Disney crazed as all of you .....but.....

Well...I just got my 1st Disney Chase Card today! I never elected to be a "charter member" when it came out....now.....

Hummmmmm :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin
Did I do the right thing??? :crazy2:

Disney 1:100 ratio...lets see:

Continental Airlines Chase card gets me ff miles 1:1
Marriott Reward Card, non M purchase gets me 1:1
Marriott Rewards Card, M purchase gets me 3:1

So....Im asking myself.....why do I really need this card?? Hummmmm :scratchin

That is how I feel. I wish the ratio was better, because if so, I would use it all the time. But with the system I use to save money, I believe that I am saving more money my way that I can use for disney. I basically just plan on buying a visa "gift" card with my saved up money, and use it instead of my regular check card.

So, is this reward card basically like a gift card or shopping card that your certain amount of rewards gets added on to?

Is there anybody that got the new Visa Card that had a "Day 1" Card? If so, does your new card still say Day 1 on it.

I just ordered our new cards and chose the limited edition Castle Card for the 50th Celebration. Thought it would be a nice collectors item.

We had $200 when we went on our last Disney trip in November and we already have another $210 in reward dollars. Even though we are taking a trip over the 4th of July, I am holding onto my dollars until we take our granddaughters over Thanksgiving -- probably will really need the extra money that week.

We use our Visa cards just like a debt card. Everytime I charge something, I immediately deduct it out of my checkbook. When the bill comes, I just add all the charges up in the checkbook and compare them with the statement -- then I can just pay the bill -- no interest charges here.

The new card does say Day 1 and Charter Cardmember.
