Disney Visa Free dining ?

I'm waiting for the Visa free dining too. I do hope to get a pin offer before the regular scheduled offers start coming in March/April!

-We are willing to take any moderate though so hopefully if our favorite resort is sold out because of the pins we can still get our second choice.

Im also waiting for the Disney Visa FD promotion! Can you use 2 codes on 1 reservation?

I have a room % code off & I am booking soon :) "If" free dining is offered can I use both codes?

TIA :)

Do you have to book this with the Disney Visa? They gutted my credit balance to practically nil!

I believe last year it was officially announced on April 1st and you got 3 or 4 days to book before it was announced to the public. :cool2:

I believe last year you had to pay at least your deposit with the Disney Visa, but then could pay it off with any card.

So at the end of March Disney Visa offers free dining? Does anyone know when it will be good for? thanks!

The general consensus seems to be August 15th-Oct 3rd. I believe those are the dates being offered with the free dining PIN people are getting. However, last fall the bounceback dates for 2010 were mid August through Sept 30th. I know because I booked the bounceback when I was there last Sept/Oct and had to go with Sept 25th-Oct 3rd for my 2010 dates. (We must vacation Sat-Sun.) I really wanted Oct 2nd-10th so we could be there for an entire week of the Food & Wine Festival, but the bounceback free dining dates didn't allow that this year. Who knows exactly what the general public offer dates will be, but they should be close to the above dates.

There is not and has never been a free dining offer in March. Disney Visa holders usually get the fall free dining offer a few days before it comes out for the general public. The booking window opened last year on March 26 for Disney Visa holders.

so free dining in mods and value are a good beal, but what about the deluxes?

It all depends on the number of Disney "adults" on your reservation for the price of the dining, and what the room only discount is for deluxe resorts. If it is 40%, and you only have 2 "adults", then most likely the room discount is a better deal. However, if you have 3-4 "adults" then the free dining might be a better deal. For me... 3 "adults" and 2 kids, it is a better deal (the dining plan for my family is about $120/night).

In 2009 booking opened for Disney Visa cardholders on March 26 and for the general public on March 30. This was a bit earlier than it opened in previous years.

If you booked from March 26 to March 29 you were required to pay the deposit with a Disney Visa. As of March 30 anyone could book with any payment method, assuming availability of the promotion packages (the number of promotion packages available at each resort are limited).

Free dining has never been offered for stays in March.

No, you can't stack discounts. You have to choose between the 40% off the room and the free dining.

As I am new Disney Visa holder, have a question....We are definately going Aug 30th-Sept 4th but haven't booked yet. If I book just the room only portion now (to insure we get what we want....BCV) can I add the Visa free dining to it-assuming it happens. Or do I need to wait to make ressie till it is released so that I put the initial depoit on Visa???

THANKS SO MUCH!!!

No, you have to have a Magic Your Way package booked to qualify for the fall free dining discount. If you do a room only reservation, you can not call and just add the FD discount code, you would have to completely cancel the room only reservation and rebook with a different deposit and reservation number for the Magic Your Way Package that you must have to book the free dining offer.

If you book your package now, you can call back when the FD code comes out and WDW reservations can just add it to your exisiting reservation.

So I don't have to worry about putting the initial deposit on my Disney Visa...or should I still do that to make sure there aren't any problems if/when Disney Visa FD comes out....
I still can't believe I haven't made my ressies yet but have bought our airline tix... but I couldn't pass up the SUPER CHEAP airfare we got on Spirit from AC to MCO...It was $39 each way...after taxes etc ended up being $108 roundtrip!!! My only fear is that they won't offer some sort of discount (free dining or room discount) :worship: There are 8 of us going (my 6 and 2 grandparents) so we need/prefer a villa.....

You don't have to put the initial deposit down with your Disney Visa, but when you call back to add the code, you will have to put down at least $200.00, WITH your Disney Visa, towards your balance to have the FD code applied to your existing reservation.

By the way, we are a family of 6 and have taken my parent's a couple of times. We always get two connecting rooms at a value resort. We always have plenty of room and two bathrooms. We don't really need any kitchen facilities because we are on the dining plan. Actually, you could almost get two connecting rooms at The Polynesian for the price of a two bedroom villa.
