I have a disney visa credit card. I know one of the benefits is the character greet at epcot can someone give me more details about it. TIA

Make sure you have your Disney Visa with you.

Go at the alloted times (I think from 1 to 4). You get in line and wait until they take your number. You then go into a room and have a nice surprise!

I won't tell you any more. You'll just have to see for yourself.

Just a forewarning- we were there last week and went to the Meet and Greet at about 3:00 on Monday. There were about 20 families in line so we bailed. It may have just been bad timing- at Disneyland I have never waited for more that one group.

from the definitive guide to photopass:

For Disney Visa cardholders, a special free private meet & greet is offered daily 1:30 - 4:30 pm at Epcot. Located in the Innoventions West building, just past the Where's The Fire? and Play It Safe exhibits is a curtained off area. Guests with card in hand may join the line for their own private meeting with 2 or 3 of the fab five. Not only will there be a Disney's PhotoPass photographer onhand to take as many photos as you wish, but each account (up to 2 accounts per family) is entitled to a free 5x7 print available later at the Camera Center. While each account is limited to one print a day, cardholders are free to visit multiple days of their vacation if they wish. Depending on the Cast Member at the Camera Center, many guests have reported to be able to receive a print of any Disney's PhotoPass photo instead of the Visa meet & Greet photo, especially after expressing disinterest in the latter.

I am a visa holder but the family we are traveling with is not. May we bring them with us? May they receive a photo?

1 photo per visa card per day, but not everyone has to have a card or be related.

I want to know what the surprise is! our vacation time at epcot will be limited and over the holiday and I want to know if its worth stopping by!

Just did this 2 weekends ago. The 2 most popular Disney characters were there for pictures and it is def worth the wait! And I will say that the line moves very quickly so don't let that stop you from getting in it (there were like 15-20 groups in front of me and it only took about 20 min to get in, which I so didn't mind since you are inside in the air-conditioner and it was 98 when I was there). And, you can get a free 5x7 from the picture/photo store in fornt of spaceship earth (they give you a slip of paper telling you this). Don't miss out on this!!

My friend and her child was traveling with me and my kids when we did this. They were allowed to get a picture made with us (actually we did a pic of just the kids with characters and then one with myself and my friend) but you still only get one free picture. You can buy more at the photo shop if you want and something cool I found out in case you are interested is that they are able to add 2 character signatures/autographs to a picture (like the signatures you see on photopass) whereas if you pull up the picture on photopass you can only insert 1 autograph per picture regardless of the number of charcters in the shot. Hope this helps.:goodvibes

Wow! We are also Disney Visa Card holders and have been several times and never taken part in this! After reading this thread...I think we will! Thanks for the information!

We did this about a year ago, but the line took forever. Once you get in, it's great because you get a ton of time with the 'surprises.' I would say we were behind the curtain for 5-7 minutes...so multiply that by the number of groups in front of you, and you can see why it would take so long!

But it wouldn't be a surprise!

Ok I think enough folks have posted pictures. You get a quick one on one with several Characters (we've had Mickey Donald Goofy and Pluto at once other times just Mickey and Pluto).

You just had to push me into revealing!:sad2:

Is it worth it? If the line isn't too long, yes!

We got in line early for the afternoon one (1pm?) and waited about 20 minutes to see Mickey, Minne & Goofy. We did show our DisneyVisa--just one for our group.

Hi,
I did this just last week on Thursday around 2:15 PM. There were only 3 groups in front of us so it only took a few minutes to get in. We had Minnie and Mickey. I did not make it back to the photo shop that day. So I stopped by on Saturday and had no problem viewing the pictures and redeeming my coupon for a free 5X7.
When we did it last year we had Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy and also only waited about 5 minutes that time.

We tried this last year. Having never done it before we got in line at about 4:15. We stood in line and literally did not move for 35 minutes. My four year old fell asleep in DH's arms. Finally we left the line as we had dinner reservations and knew it would still be quite a while. Here is one tip. We did manage to get the coupon before we left the line. We went to redeem the coupon and explained the wait, that we were unable to meet the characters. They allowed us to use the coupon for another picture we had taken in the park. So, at least we got a free 5 x 7 for our wait. We may try it again this year but will show up at the beginning this time.

My husband and I are both cardholders and would love to have our son meet mickey in more of a private way. We are celebrating his 2nd birthday and he is very shy. Any advice on this would help! I have called every number in the disney phone book to try and get him a few private moments with Mickey and my camera of course! So anyone who could tell me when he will be there would be greatly appreciated since we will only be at epcot for one day. We have park hopper passes so we could go anytime if we needed. Thanks
