Disney Visa - Do you get points when you pay for MYW package?

If I pay for my MYW package with my Disney Visa, will I get the same 1% rewards I get on all other purchases? I want to know if I can pay for my package in advance using the Disney Visa, then turn around & use the points I earned on my trip. Will this work, as long as there is enough time between payment & my trip for the statement to close & me to get the Rewards card?

You sure can, this is what I did last month! I charged the entire trip to my Disney visa then went online and posted a payment from my checking account just so I could get the 30+ Disney Reward dollars. It doesn't matter what you charge, you get the same 1% on all purchases.

yes you can i did just that and so did my friend. you also can wait until you get to disney to get your reward card so that you can get all those last minute points. the only downside is you can only pick up that card at selected locations and you have to call in your CC number and the number on that card and it may take a few min. i picked mine up in epcot and used it that night in DTD so it worked out for me.

You can do that! You will also most likely get 0% intrest on the price of the trip for a year, we did last year Just booked a few weeks ago for this year, not sure if it still applies, I'll find out in the next couple weeks, when the next statement arrives

The 0% financing offer now runs for 6 months. While not for one year, it's still a nice perk.

Just to be clear for the OP, you don't have to pay off the charge to redeem the points. (Some one else was asking about this on another thread.)

If you pay for your trip with your Visa, you will get 6 mos interest free to pay off the charge on your card. You will get the points on your statement date after you charged the trip, not when you actually pay it off. So, you can get the points and use them during your trip even if you take the extra 6 mos interest free.



I usually order our card a month or two in advance (must have 20pts). Then right before we leave I transfer the rest of our points (minimum of 10) to the card.
