Disney Visa Discounts

I've got to believe this question has been asked (several times) before, but after searching the forums the past 30 min. I can't find it anywhere. I have a Disney Visa. I know there are certain discounts at WDW, specifically in dinning and Spa Treatments for card members who use their card as payment.

My question is, do you need to physically pay with the card to get the discount(s), or does having the Disney Visa as a card linked to your Magic Band suffice?

I'm fairly certain that I read you must have the card with you and pay with it. I don't think they can know what specific card is linked to your band.

Has to be with the card or the Rewards Redemption card. Paying with the magic band doesn't work
