The only discounts available on-board are on merchandise for Gold & Platinum Castaway Members and Disney CMs.

You do earn reward points for using the Disney Visa onboard, which can be the start of your next cruise fund!

Enjoy your cruise!

If you pay with your Disney card, I believe you can request a $50 onboard credit for drinks.
If you pay for the entire cruise (deposit and paid off) using the Disney VISA, you get the $50 beverage credit. I don't think you have to ask for it.

I'm not sure how that works, whether it just "shows up" on your onboard account, or if you need to stop by Guest Services to make sure they have it noted, but it should be automatic.

It is not automatic. There is a code that has to be put on the reservation to indicate that it qualifies for this promotion. And because it needs a code, it cannot be combined with any other promotions that need a code -- like onboard booking.

Where do you put this code?

Where do you put this code?

It's a booking code and you enter it online under the "Special Offers Available" heading right below where you choose destination and how many nights; the code is DCC. However, to enter it when you make the reservation it has to be valid for your cruise dates, and if you book well in advance it's not always available for the following year until fall rolls around. You can call to have it added. But PP is correct that if you have used most other "discount" or special offers -- such as an OBB, or the FLR and MTO rates, etc. -- you cannot stack the offers. I believe the only special offer that can also use the Disney Visa OBC is a *GT.

Enjoy your cruise!

There is no place to put the Disney Visa code when booking yourself. You have to call DCL and ask for it to be applied. Or, if working with a TA, they can do it.

I guess I have never booked in a way that it was available for me to enter online. I have always been told you needed to call to have it added.

Unless it has changed, I used to be able to add it. But since the offer sometimes doesn't "renew" until fall, it won't always recognize it in which case you call once the offer is renewed. I haven't tried doing it online recently.

OK, we'll give them a call and see if we can add it. We booked about a week ago. Didn't know we had to enter a code anywhere.

I called the number on the back of the card a few months ago to see if I could add it to a booking we had already and they had no idea what I was talking about. Went round and round with Visa to no avail. We were on the Magic last month and we booked another cruise while on board and I asked the lady taking our reservation and she told me that you cannot combine offers, since they gave us a $200 on board credit for booking while on a cruise and it was greater then the $50 Visa would give, we only got the Disney credit.

Booked through Costco, after paid in full, called Costco and they put me on hold and Costco called Disney directly to apply the code for the $50 onboard beverage credit.

We just went through this yesterday. The CM didn't know what the DCC booking code was for. Then we were told that it couldn't be stacked with our IGT booking. We booked through Costco, so not sure it's worth the effort of calling again and try for another CM. I had read in the past that it could be stacked, as well, which is why we tried yesterday, but were denied.
