In theory, yes. Disney Visa Card holders often get early access (e.g., one or two days) to some of the promotions. You should get an email notification, but like patty57, I very rarely get any. You're best bet is to keep an eye on things here (the Disboard) and over at MouseSavers.com. Usually deals are announced a little beforehand and the news gets posted pretty quickly.

True. They do get announced here, if you don't get the email.

But, you must have a Disney Visa to book them early. And you have to at least put the deposit on the DV. So it can still help, if that is what OP is asking.

Now, I do not know that I've ever heard of a deal "selling out" before it was open to the GP but the wait times can be lower if you get in before it goes public. So that helps.

while i like knowing ahead of time and being able to book special offers in advance of the general public thats not even the best part about having a disney visa card in my opinion.
personally i love that i get a discount at the disney store and most gift shops at the parks, that i earn reward dollars that i then use for souvenirs at the parks, the fact that you get 6 months interest free if you book your disney vacation using the card, and that you get a special meet n greet andfree 5x7 at epcot and california adventure.

The notification is really, really spotty. I rarely get the emails. I'm not saying that I couldn't find out about discounts on my own and book them with my Disney Visa, because I could. The OP specifically had asked about getting prior notifications from them about discounts, and I mostly don't.

I wish they would send me a text when the discounts get released to visa people. I don't check my email as often as I should not that it would matter since I don't think they've ever sent me an email on a discount. I always find out the discounts on the dis

I did when I first got it but now they let me know about events like a Chef in Chicago. I'm cancelling the card at the end of the year.
