I'm wondering about the Meet & Greet that is available to Disney Visa Card holders. Which character do you meet? Does it vary? Is there usually much of a line? (We'll be going in mid-November.) Trying to decide if it is worth making time to stop by or not. Anything you can tell me about it will be appreciated! :)

Thanks!

We do it every year. You never know who you will meet. There are always two characters. We never waited more than 20 minutes. Sometimes 10 minutes. We love that you are in the room with them alone. You can get 6 people in per Visa. We have two visas so we have gotten in 10 people at once. We love the interaction.

We make sure to visit the meet and greet during each trip. As a card holder I think it's a nice benefit.

Some years we have skipped a long-ish line and came back, but relatively speaking the line is never that long. The have also expanded the hours of operation from 1pm to 7pm, which is nice. Previously it closed like around 4 or 4:30, I think.

The characters you meet vary, and the way it's set up you can't see who's in there until you enter. It's kind of a fun surprise. That said, the characters we tend to see include Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and one year we saw Pluto. There tends to be at least two characters present. It's been a few years since I've seen three characters.

You can take your own photos and there's a PhotoPass photographer too. With your PhotoPass (or now, MagicBand) you visit the photo center underneath Spaceship Earth to select your free 5x7 print. You can get one print per day if you want, so if you visit Epcot more than once during your trip, you could get more than one photo. (I've yet to do this.)

The very first year we did it (2007 I think) there were 4 characters, since that time only 3. You can always count on Mickey and Goofy, the other character varies.

DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!!!!

This was probably my favorite 10 minutes of the whole trip! I had never done it either and didn't know what to expect. I have two accounts, and our family group of 8 went in, no line, and there were Minnie Mouse and Pluto!!! I felt like a KId again! We had been on the Disney Magic for 4 days and the lines for Mickey and Minnie were unbelievable, so here was Minnie just for us! It's in a very private location and people that weren't looking for it would probably have no idea what it was, which I guess is the point!

Best group shot!

My fave Minnie shot (my face says it all!):

They took quite a few shots, but we had 2 vouchers to have them printed, and the other one I got from my PhotoPass account online.

FYI, we got our photos taken around 4-5 pm and I went back 3 times to the Photo Processing spot under the EPCOT ball before the photos were linked to that card and uploaded. It probably took at least 1.5 hrs to upload!

But the huggable characters and the great family shot, this was one of my favorite moments of the trip! We only went to EP one day but we heard that you can have a photo session every day that you are at EP and get them printed each day! :cloud9:

Our two Visa ended up paying for half our cruise, $174 off our tickets, and providing $130 to use at the Disney parks, not to mention the free six months no interest on our excursions for the cruise. All total, we got $933 in benefits (including gift cards for opening the accounts), from Mar 2013 to May 2014, about 14 months! And then you add Disney MAGIC moments like this, our free photos, and the 10% off for RnRc photos (finally someone actually knew what to do with my card!), and for me, the benefits of having these cards is just awesome.

Now we are starting over, and in the first month since I've been back, I already have $41 more in rewards! Time to fill 'er up for the next Disneyland trip in Fall 2015!!:banana::banana:

We did this back in May. It was about a 15 minute wait. We asked the CM at the front of the line who we would meet, and she said it would be two of any of the fab 5 characters. We ended up with Minnie and Pluto. I found it an odd combination at first. But that was the best Minnie and Minnie I've met in all my time at the parks!

We did it last week....always do it at least once a trip.
This time we had Mickey and Minnie. We went about 1:30 and had about a 5 minute wait....however, I went to get the photo at 6:30 and it wasn't there. Went back at 8:00 and still not there. So I gave up and didn't go back....wanted to watch Illuminations and then leave.
That is the first time that has happened.

We LOVED this on our first trip! We went twice. The first time it was Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy. The second time Minnie and Pluto. We only waited about 15 min or less. We got our free pic each day, but it does take awhile for it to be printed. We plan to go again next month for sure!

Thanks so much for all of the replies! It definitely sounds like something we will want to include in our day!! :)

Definitely worth it. Short wait, if any, and you are not rushed, or have others waiting in the room with you.

We plan on stopping by this trip.

I have a card.. how exactly does this work? I know it is in Epcot, but what do you do? Show your card??:confused3

Yes, when you get on the line the CM working the line will ask to the see Chase Disney Visa from one person in your party (it's in Innoventions, it's not marked and the first time we went the CM at the door had no idea what we were talking about but another guest overheard us and directed us to the spot which was like 30 feet from where we were standing).

We've been there several times now and have only had two characters, Mickey plus one other. We've gotten fantastic pics there, they always seem to have a great photopass photographer and they take a lot of shots, both as you approach the characters and posed.

The line can sometimes look long but it's always been groups so the line has always moved fast.
