I actually like the Disney Visa and we charge nearly everything on it. But I think the 6 months at 0% promotion is poison and I wouldn't touch it with a dull spoon. Just don't do it! If you must do it, plan on paying off the entire account at least 60 days in advance, otherwise they will find some way to add finance charges. As some posts in this thread indicate, they may add finance charges in any case.
Since we never carry a balance, the two-cycle business has no effect on us. It works just like any other card.
Last year they had a true double points promotion where they gave you double points for everything over a fixed monthly amount ($750 for us). We did quite well on that. The current ongoing promotion is not nearly as good for the reasons that Cinderelli described. For example we buy most of our groceries at Kroger, but Kroger does not submit charges in the grocery category but just as generic charges. I don't blame Bank One for this as it really would be infeasible for them to try to assign categories themselves. Nevertheless we do have some bonus points dribbling in every month and it is appreciated.
