Disney Visa by Chase

We use our Disney Visa for everything, but I am thinking of switching to a better card. We'll have enough Disney Dollars to cover our dining when there, but I think there are better programs out there.

Early booking for F&W is really the only reason we have the card, since that's worth the annual fee to us. There are better rewards cards for everyday use.

I have the premier card- can be used for airline tickets. I use it for everything! And then pay it off every month and have never carried a balance. Last summer we used it to pay for airline tickets to Hawaii. I was able to pay for 2 out of 3 tickets ($900 each) with reward dollars. We haven't been to Disney in 4 years but used the card 2 years ago for airline tickets to Florida (non Disney trip).
I do know that there are better cards out there so after this trip this summer, I may switch to a different card- not sure which one yet though!
I always get compliments on the card too! Mickey and Minnie!

We pay for the premiere card. Get more points and it builds up quick. When we have a big disney trip in our future we will all only use that credit card for everything. We save up our points. Last year we took a big family trip. We paid for 4, 5 day adult passes and 2 gold annual passes with our disney reward dollars.

I do have the dhase Disney card and will use it extensively, starting Memorial weekend. We will be in Orlando 3-4 weeks, 3 weeks at Christmas and then the following Summer, 2018, using the 13 month AP's that we bought late last year. If you get a discount of 10% on Disney merchandise while at Disney world, using the card, can I stack another 10% on top of that, using my AP discount?

I have the non-fee one. Got it through a referral for the $200 gift card sign-up bonus deal. Since meeting the $500 spend to get that gift card, I haven't used it much because I prefer using my Chase cards that earn Ultimate Rewards.
I do plan on using the card while we're at Disney though, to get the discounts on meals and shopping and for the character meets.

And it is cute as heck. I got the one with Mickey and the whole gang on it. I smile every time I look at it. :)

I do the same as many others and pay it off each month. One thing that we do to rack up a lot of points is to use the card at Sam's (now that they take Visa) to buy the $500 gift cards for $475. Then each time we make money on top of saving money. Side note - I then upload the $500 gift cards to a Disney Vacation Account so that we can get the $20 for each $1000 that you spend. Between using the chase card, buying the discounted Disney gift cards, and using the Disney Vacation account, we've saved $500 on our upcoming trip in June. It's really all in how you use the card. It's nice to get an advantage on specials as well.

Just payed for my trip in April. My redemption card was worth $1,491.90. It takes time to earn that many points, but we use the card for everyday expenses and always pay in full every month. Spending the money anyway so might as well get something in return. Disney trips are expensive and it really helps to have that much money going for a very large bill. :-)

I know there are cards offering better terms out there, but we use the Disney Visa (premiere version) for just about everything. The reward dollars rack up pretty fast for us. The key is to pay it off each month and do not carry a balance.

Do you get a discount on the gift cards at Sam's using your Disney Visa?

I have it but I only use it for the discounts on things at WDW and then I immediately pay it off. I also use it to get into Cardmember-only things like free wine during F&W and photo opportunities. We have a really good cash back incentive on another card so it doesn't make sense for us to use the Disney card on a daily basis.
Tell me more about free wine at F&W? I should be receiving my visa in 7-10 days (applied last night, actually!) and have a trip booked for September 17-23rd!

The place that does this is in the America Pavilion. We actually stumbled upon it two F&Ws ago. There was a small line formed with a CM standing there. We couldn't figure out what it was because there wasn't any kind of sign and it was literally just a line standing off to the side of the main building there. We went up and asked the CM what the line was for and he asked if we had a Disney Visa. When we said we did he told us to get in line so we could get a free drink. They had both beer and wine. There wasn't anything exciting inside, it was literally just a random room with small cocktail tables set up and two or three bars. But free alcohol is free alcohol!

Is this the chase lounge or something different. Was just at f & w and didn't know about free wine:(

I don't know if it is a Chase Lounge. We had never seen or heard of it before and if there hadn't been a small line waiting to get in we would have never known it was there.

It was the Chase Cardholder Lounge. It's only open during the Food & Wine Festival because Chase is the title sponsor.

Do you get a discount on the gift cards at Sam's using your Disney Visa?

MrPTato is correct. Sam's just naturally sells their gift cards at lower rates but I use the Disney Visa to purchase the gift card so that adds about $5 to my rewards dollars each time I get one on top of the $25 I'm already saving by purchasing it at Sam's. I think BJ's has discounted gift cards too.

Special meet and greet at Star wars place in Hollywood Studios for Disney Visa card holder only. It was darth Vader when first opened up but now is Kylo Ren I believe??

We have had our two non-fee cards since about 2002. Use it for family purchases but a lot of business expenses also. Pay it off every month. We travel to the World about every three years. This August will be four years since our last trip. By the time we head out, I expect to have nearly $9,000 for our Disney trip. That is a lot to rack up in four years but without it, we probably would not be able to take a vacation there. Great card for us to have and we take advantage of any perks that we can use.

We are doing F&W for the first time this year. What needs to be booked? I thought you just had special samples and demos as you went around the World?
