Disney Visa and $200 GC Timing UPDATE Question #2

We just got the $200 offer in the mail if we sign up for the Disney Visa. My question is, we want to use it to pay off our Disney Balance. Do you think we will have get the reward to pay our balance on October 18th? We will use it for a small purchase right away and then that money is automatically availale on our card?

Will we actually get a card our will it be attached to our Disney Visa??

Once you get your visa card and make an initial purchase 200 rewards points are credited to your acount. You then have to call and get a rewards card (similar to a gift card), and then you can apply part or all of your points to it. You can use it like you would a Disney gift card. HTH

Is the reward card a card that is mailed to you? Do you know how long that takes?

I applied for the card the first week of August. It arrived in less than a week. When you call to activate they said my bill cycle will be on the 22nd of the month. I said fine, thinking it would be August 22. Nope, it starts Sept 22. You do not receive the 200 credits until after your bill cycle, and then it states the usual wait time of up to 8 weeks. I made a purchase and paid it off online already, but no reward credits. I have to wait another month, then hope they are posted faster than 8 weeks as we will be in Disney in November.

If you start the process today I doubt you will get your 200 reward dollars by October 18. When you activate have them set the billing cycle to the earliest date they will allow. You can't change it online for 6 months, I already tried to move mine earlier.

It'll be close, but I bet it'll come through in time. If not, you can use the reward points while IN WDW, for souvenirs, snacks the DDP doesn't cover, tips at Disney restaurants, etc. $200 for Disney is still $200 for Disney!

If it's the gift card offer vs the rewards credit, I applied on line for a $100 GC offer, received the card in about 10 days, activated, made a purchase and had the gift card in hand between 2-3 weeks later. So a little over 4 weeks from application to receipt of the gift card.

The fine print on the offers say 6-8 weeks, but no one here has reported it taking anywhere near that long.

we signed up for the 200 one online, had the card in a week and made a small puchase after i activated it and within two weeks they sent us the 200 gc without me calling them. so we had ours within 3weeks and it was a gc. hope that helps

Rewards hit account so I ordered a card today. Total time from credit card application to rewards in account was about 26 days. (Plus gift card mailing time)

Does anyone know if you can pay your partial trip and still get the 6 months no interest on your trip payment? We only want to put a partial amount on the Visa Card so will that still qualify for 6 months no interest??

Online it was something like $15 thru disney.com. I couldn't find any gift card through visa.com (previously I had seen the same $15).

I found on the dis forum where some had luck emailing customer service... so I tried that and was told the only offer on the table was the $15 and everything else was by invitation only.

I then read on the dis forums that some had success after ordering the Disney Planning DVD. Did that and got a flyer for something like $50 gift card.

I have excellent credit and currently have a Rewards VISA card with my wife(although my wife would be the sole applicant on this one). How can I get an offer for $200 gift card on the disney visa?

From what I can tell, they mail them out pretty randomly. My husband got one a couple of weeks ago and threw it away before I could fill it out. He said but we already have a Disney Visa. No, I have a Disney Visa in my name only, he isn't on it. We missed out on $200.

Try calling and telling them you lost your offer!! When I tried to sign up in my name with the same offer it wouldn't let me because it was in my boyfriends name. Try calling and saying the name the offer was for. I bet that might work
