Disney visa 3% bonus question

We are Disney Visa cardholders. Earlier in January I received a flyer to earn 3% bonus rewards on purchases greater than $1000 during the months of January, February, and March. There is a cap of $100 bonus rewards. I have called the Disney rewards customer service line twice and have received conflicting answers. Could someone please help?

We spent $6500 in January (well above the $1000) threshold. We will max out at $100 in rewards bonuses.

Do I have to spend over $1000 in February and March on the card to receive the $100 I've already earned? (One representative thought this was the case.)

When will the bonus points be rewarded? My regular points were rewarded at the close of my statement. The bonus points flyer said it would be 6-8 weeks. Is that after March 31st or January?

Can I earn $100 each month or is that total for the three?

I'm hoping someone here who has participated in the rewards bonus can help clear this up for me. We're leaving March 19 for our trip and I was just trying to budget.

Thanks!

You don't need to charge anything else the next two months in order to get the $100 you earned. The $100 is total for the three months, so you will only get the normal 1% for your purchases now.

As far as when the points will be awarded, I had the 3% for Oct/Nov/Dec and received the bonus each month, not at the end, although it took a few weeks each time. The previous year we had the 5% offer for Oct/Nov/Dec and those rewards were paid out at the end of the three month period. So I'm not really sure what to tell you here. We have the 3% for now also, and I don't see anything posted for January yet, though it's still pretty early.

If you don't already have access to your chase account on-line, you should set that up so you can see when your points hit (I check at least weekly). It also helps me keep track of what I've spent since I always pay my bill in full and don't want to be surprised.

Thank you so much for your reply. I do all of our billing online and find the website to be very helpful, too! :)

We're new to Disney Visa within the last year. Do you get often receive bonus offers? This was our first (besides $200 for signing up.)

Thanks again for clarifying! :thumbsup2

Check the sticky thread about the 5x offers. It was started back when Chase was a little more generous with their incentives. There's a discussion on the last couple of pages about the most recent rewards bonus. There are a lot of people who never get a bonus offer from Chase. And the offer has different rules for different card holders based on their usage.

We have had the Disney Visa since it came out. We get offers like this one multiple times per year. We normally can't take advantage of them because the purchasing threshold is so high. Our offer for the 3% bonus is over $3500 in spending each month. We normally put about $1000 each month on the card, so they make our reward limits very high. We actually will take advantage of this offer - for the first time, because I charged our DVC maintenance fees in January, and they were $3500!

I got the same offer, I'm excited because it doesn't seem to be specific to any types of purchases and I'm charging some wedding stuff the next few months. Maybe this will pay for some of the honeymoon!

My husband and I each have 2 Disney visas that don't get used often, so we do get a decent amount of offers. We have an airline credit card that we use unless we have a special offer from one of our other cards. It seems that the people who use their cards regularly get crappy offers (like the $3500 spending before rewards), because they know you are using their card anyway, whereas those of us who don't use ours often are being enticed into using them.

I am set up with auto pay and paperless billing, so I wonder how I would know about an offer? Is it on an insert in the bill or directly on the statement? Thanks!
