Disney Visa 09/28 - 12/23 Code

:cool1: Just finished stretching after my silver medal performance last night with girls gymnastics team
Back on DISBoards to check out the latest and greatest-

Yesterday I called a CM and mapped out my trip to POR for Oct using the suddenly found PIN next to my name that was not there on Sunday :thumbsup2

She "held" the ressie for the room and tix until Aug 26 and gave me the DDP and airface prices so that I can get a total (everything inc is $2364- about $300 off the no PIN price) But I did figure out that no matter if I included DDP or airfare it was a $300 off with the PIN total- which basically tells me its a room only discount.

CM did tell me though and I think this is important for people to know- if you are within your 45 day window and you have booked now and paid in full applying discounts (no matter where they are from VISA, PIN etc) if the price is a downgrade- you will have to pay a $60 fee.
I have not seen that anywhere on the boards but I think its important to keep it in mind.

I am on with disney now and I am being told AP rates are out.

Sept 28th thru Dec 23rd.

Nothing for Disney Visa and nothing for the general public

Thanks for the update.

Today is DD's first day of 6th Grade so I got her on the bus at 6:43am and then started doing some housework. All of a sudden I realized it was going on 8:00am and I hadn't checked the DIS! But, I'm thinking tomorrow is going to be the big DV day.

I called this morning as soon as they opened... the CM i sspoke to was extrememly helpful (what are the odds I'll get him again tomorrow.. lol)

He said that there is no Disney VISA pin code, there are pin codes out, but none through Disney Visa. He did say to check back tomorrow.

He did confirm that the AP discount came out today... and that tomorro might be a good day to call in... I think he was hinting -- do you think? lol!:rotfl: :thumbsup2

So tomorrow I will be calling again, bright and early!

Thankfully I already have 40% off my room, so it is not that I am looking for more discount, I am just looking to switch resorts! lol!

Wow...Day 3 :surfweb:

I'm taking my DD school clothes shopping today so if the "code" comes out today, I'll have NO idea until I get home

I think I'll call Disney once every hour...;)

Here's a little pixiedust: in hopes that when the code comes out it is not limited and we all get what we "want" :thumbsup2

That is always the case at 45 days (with package atleast) payment is due in full by 45 days prior and if you decrease then you pay a fee (last year it was $50, guess it too went up) but if you increase no fee.

We paid in full yesterday. So what does "decrease" mean? We have three preferred CBR rooms and the package. If we get the disney visa discount will we have to pay $60.00?

You only pay the $60.00 if you are less than 45 days from check-in.

Can you have the CM hold a room with the discount for 7 days . then call the AAA agent and have your reservation canceled. then call Disney back and book the package on hold???????

I believe you can do that if you're not within your 45 day mark. Right now I have a package at POP booked through AAA. When I got my PIN the other day I called CRO and booked a package at CSR which I have on hold for 14 days. I'm just waiting for the DV discount to be announce to decide what we are going to do and possibly switch resorts again. Depending on what happens tomorrow, I'll contact AAA TA and have her cancel the POP. I will see if she can transfer the CSR or whatever over to her because she did do some work for me already. She was on vacation through today, otherwise, I would have given her my PIN and let her make the ressie.

Somehow in the 25 pages of this thread, I lost track of what this discount will actually be. Is this a discount on rooms only or discount for packages with tickets and DDP?:confused3

Thanks and sorry for the stupid question.:goodvibes

no one knows the discount. It has been asked a few times and no one can even answer what the Visa discount was for last year. I'm thinking a % off the room, but someone else mentioned a % off the package, which would be nice. Either way it will be a help.

Last year's discount was for a package, but I think the discount was only for the room portion of the package.

Last year the discount was on a package and I ended up paying about 49 a night for POP the third week in Dec.

Ok I am so new at this.. This is my first time at Disney. I asked this a few times in another group but for some reason no one answered my question.

I am a DIsney Visa holder. How will I find outr about this code? WIll they send me an email. Can more than one person use the same code?

Also what does "AP" mean? I have seen it used several time in this thread but I cant figure out the abbreviations.. LOL Is there a special place on this board that has what each abbreviation means?
Thanks and sorry for all the silly questions...

If you log into your acct on line at chase.com/disney there will be a link for offers. But really, if you just check this board some time in the morning on thurs, the offer will be posted by someone. The offer is for the visa card holder.

AP is Annual Passholder. If you buy an Annual Pass, you get first dibs on discounts for the next round of offers.

No silly questions. Enjoy your first visit.

You should get an e-mail, but you can also go to www.disneyrewards.com for the code. I'm pretty sure you will be able to find it here first, however. That code/rate is available to anyone with a Disney Visa.

AP is annual pass. Annual Pass holder rates came out today (and they're kind of stinky this time 'round), so this AP holder is hoping the DV code is better :goodvibes

Did I get all your questions?:thumbsup2

Thank you guys so much. I was seriously in a panic. LOL Ok now i just have to cross my fingers for tomorrow. Thanks for answering the AP questions too.... LOL

::MinnieMo - Hi
Does anyone know if the DV code is usually better than the AP code or pin code in the past?

What have the DV codes been like in the past?

Hopefully we'll see something tomorrow! :rotfl:

I read on another thread that if you apply a discount it "changes" your reservation and therefore you have to pay the new higher ticket prices. Is that true and if so is the DV discount worth the higher ticket price.. I hate to get all excited and then end up not saving money or worse paying more :confused3 TIA for your help.
