Disney Visa 09/28 - 12/23 Code

I am a first time AP holder and reserved my room months ago and have been waiting for the discount. It does not seem as low as I thought it was going to be. If I apply tonight for the card will I be able to get the discount right away or do I have to wait for the card. I am going either way but I would love the extra $$$ for the parks.

I believe you have to have your deposit (or a payment) put on the Disney Visa when you add the code so I don't think that would work for you. Sorry!

I'm also a first time AP'er and pretty disappointed in the lack of availability for the code released. I'm hoping that the DV code will be better for our family.

Sprinkling us all with loads of pixie dust for the morning!!! :wizard: :wizard:

We'll its 12:04 am where I am. Don't see anything yet

I'll check things out in the morning (If I can get up)

Good night:angel:

If you are going to apply for a Disney Visa, check Birnbaums guide. There is a coupon in there that will give you 50 disney dollar gift card after you use your card the first time.

If you want the Disney Visa discount code, do you have to have a ticket package booked? Or can it be room only?

Can you have the CM hold a room with the discount for 7 days . then call the AAA agent and have your reservation canceled. then call Disney back and book the package on hold???????

I thought that you could do this, that you could reserve your room and had to pay the deposit in so many days. It was 14 days but think it recently changed to 7 days, and then a deposit is due or you lose the ressie. But don't know how that works with disney visa since you have to use the card for your deposit to get discount.

:cool1: Just finished stretching after my silver medal performance last night with girls gymnastics team.......
I love, love watching the Olympics, I watch all the nighttime stuff, plus weekends. Takes all my time for 2 weeks, lol! And I'm absolutely not athletic myself at all! Boy, tonight's show sure ran extra long with the men's gymnastics!

I read on another thread that if you apply a discount it "changes" your reservation and therefore you have to pay the new higher ticket prices. Is that true and if so is the DV discount worth the higher ticket price.. I hate to get all excited and then end up not saving money or worse paying more :confused3 TIA for your help.

Yes, I kind of goofed when I got my ressie a couple weeks ago. It's in a post some pages back. I took a room only ressie to use AAA discount, but he said I should buy my 10 day tickets cause prices were going up, so I did. Then I realized that if the DV disc. was for rm/tckts only, I'd have to buy a ticket or something, but I didn't need another one. Finally I called. They said they could combine the tickets I had bought with my room ressie to use the DV code if one came out to make it into a package. So, I don't have to my one day's tickets. But, I would lose my lower ticket price cause I was changing things. So, I figured it out and it'll be about $36.00 more for our 2, 10 day hopper tickets turned into a package with the price increase on them, so I guess that's not so bad. Would be best if they have a room only DV disc., since they only disc. the room part anyway, but it will only cost $36 more to make the package to then use the DV disc so I guess that's not as bad as I thought it might be. Actually, I didn't know they could combine them and I guess others didn't either as I didn't get any responses to questions on it. So, it does change the ressie but it's not that much more with the new ticket prices, at least for 2 tickets, I suppose with a family it might be a different story. :goodvibes
