Up at about 7am - still knackered and not feeling hungry fromthe flying we got dressed, booked the heated pool and with a bit of toast made our way to MK.
Now I don't need to describe all the things that you all know when going here. The excitiment of seeing the archway you drive under. The amazement of how huge the carparks are. How organised everything is and that feeling of seeing the castle as you come round on the monorail. The place is absolutley magical in every sense of the word and word cannot descibe it. i'll try to bring out some of my opions on everything though the best I can.
Now last week, Florida had somekind of drought, with extra hot heat for this time of year. It was HOT HOT HOT HOT - not humid - just HOT. Kids were suffering a bit and we all found that it made everyone a bit cranky, espicially when hungry - some of you may have found this too. But is it just me or does MK just make everyone around you just lose their minds?? It wans't quite the bliss that I expected - more often kids were crying, parents shouting - generally making our family look very well behaved.
Anyway, queues were not big and all the rides were excellent in their own way. We saw the 3pm parade and the kids got right to the front and manged to get hugs and high fives from most of the characters. That parade is spomething special - I almost felt myself getting choaked up and DD had a little cry as well.
Anyway, about 6pm and after to shopping and pressies for the kids we headed home, got a takaway and we all crashed out. By the way the pool had been heated - infact not just by machine but the sun as well, so the relief I was looking for was not there - as the pool was hotter than most baths I have. But the others loved it and that's all that matters.
Still have so much more of MK to see but that all to come later.
