Disney Vacay with the Love Bugs (New 6/23 update ~ Chef Mickeys)

i have always liked "looking" at that restraunt but scared to eat, there not sure i would like people walking by my table when it rotates to the front so they can see me eating my chicken.

was that weird?

or was it not bad since you ate later in the day?

I felt like we only rotated around the front for a short time.
We have eaten here twice & it did not bother me. I never noticed anyone looking at us.
I actually liked rotating the front the best because I like to 'people watch'. But, I like eating in the mall food court & people watching too. .


Just don't dribble chicken all down your face & maybe noone will pay attention to you eating.

Great update! I have to agree with you on the Garden Grill....I love the character interaction, the glimpses of Living With The Land and people watching.

Ick. Sorry to hear the orange side made Brad sick. I guess it's different if you're really sensitive to that kind of thing. Garden Grill looked like so much fun! I'll have to go back there again some time. Last time I ate there, both Bubba and I felt awful Too much Disney food and lack of sleep can really do you in!

Oh, I love the update. Pics of the kids and characters are too cute. I am thinking about adding Garden Grill to my wish list of ADRS...but... I have never ate there. I think the spinning restaurant looks cool... but the food, the food has to be good too.

Sorry the orange side made Brad sick. It bothers my dh too. And.. well, I stay away from those rides. The kids have to go by themselves.

Your Mission Space Orange story sounds just like mine. We convinced Judy that it was no big deal, despite her reservations, and then we had to wait around for a half-hour until she was well enough to walk again. Oops.

Great update! What do you think of the food at Garden Grille? We haven't been there since 2007. We loved the character interaction, but thought the food was pretty bland. I wonder if it's gotten better....Those desserts sure look yummy.

I know, it has taken me forever to find time for a update. I've been so busy with the kids school, etc..

I'm jealous that you have a trip coming up. Have you eaten at GG before?

great update! I'll have to try GG again another time. When I went there, we thought the food was eh, service was horrible, and the characters were awesome! By the looks of the pics and a few years later, it seems maybe they've changed some things???

We just adored Garden Grill in September. The food was fantastic and the characters were great too. That dessert was to die for as well!

The characters at Garden Grill were a lot of fun. I hate that it made you sick last time. But, you right about the going & going & going at Disney w/out much sleep can wear you down.

It's southern style food, so you would have to like that.
I'm the last person to be able to give an opinion on food because we are not picky at all. We just book restaurants for the kids.
You should give it a try sometime. Your little girl would love it.

I love spinning rides so I'm glad at my kids can handle it.

I was all geared up for Orange to be some scary ride. But, I swear that I could not tell hardly any difference at all between the two.

We really like GG.
We liked their food, we didn't love it, but we liked it.
It is southern style food so you would have to like that.
They did have the BEST tasting sweet potato fries!!!!
But, I'm telling you, I'm not the best person to ask for a food review so I don't even try in my TR. Give me a good salad & I'm happy. Throw a burger at Brad & he's happy.
And, yes, the desserts were very good!

We enjoyed our food, it was not on the top of our list of the best of that week, but it was not bad either.
They had sweet potato fries that were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Service was great & characters were awesome!
It is by far the most relaxing meal that we have had the both times that we've ate there. I think that is a big plus to us too.

Agree 100 % with your GG review - we have it on the list to return next trip - DD says she prefers it over Chef Mickey's, and if going there means skipping CM, that's double the reason for a visit in my view!

I've only ridden M:S once, the green side. I wasn't real impressed. The rest of the family won't even try it. I'd like to try orange, but am a little nervous as while i love coasters and drop rides, spinning rides just do me in in my "old age"! I would hate to have the whole day ruined for a ride I didn't think much of to begin with.

I think your girls would love it there. It is the most relaxing out of all the character meals.

You will love GG. You don't feel the rotation at all. If the scenery did not change, you would not know that it was moving.

LWTL is a very unexciting ride, but it's one of my favorites. I think that's why Disney makes it impossible for you to be able to do everything on one trip, so you'll have to come back!

The salad was great! I was so excited about getting our Sci-Fi ADR. I had been looking so forward to taking Lexi/Levi there to eat.
