Disney Vacay with the Love Bugs (New 6/23 update ~ Chef Mickeys)

What a great update Amy! I love Biergarten, but unfortunately Jasmine doesn't, so we don't go anymore:scared1: Looks like you had such a fun time!

I have to say I am lovin the hat pictures....they just make me smile.

I am so happy you found the GGS stand and that you waited for 20 minutes...I would have waited too! The reason mine was in a big cup was because they just opened and she didn't think it was "slushy" enough, so she gave me it in a bigger glass cause she felt bad.....it tasted just fine:thumbsup2 I have heard you can ask for it in the bigger glass but they only fill it half way....she filled mine all the way....I told her she was my new best friend:hug:

awww, too bad Jasmine doesn't like Beirgarten.
I'm glad the hat pics are making YOU smile! :)
I think she just knew you were the Queen of the Dis & gave you that big drink! princess: (there wasn't a queen smilie, so I had to use the princess!)

Amy, I love your window! The lights were a great touch! I had to laugh when you commented on your hair. When I saw the pic of Lexi sleeping on the bus, I thought, "Wow, how'd her hair stay perfect??" I have long naturally curly hair and nearly all of our summer pics are of me with it pulled completely up. I straighten it most of the winter. Maybe someone can look at my Jan. pictures and say, "Wow, her hair stayed perfect!" :lmao:

I totally understand about the dilemma over talking to people at your table. We sat with a family of four (parents and two girls) at Teppan Edo. I talked to them a little, but since the wife kept having private conversations with her husband, I didn't bother them anymore. :confused3

Queen, I don't think I have seen you with "your" drink yet in your TR. :rolleyes1

Amy, keep up the great reporting.

I got excited about my hair too early. That was the only day there was no humidity. I have naturally curly hair too. But, not the pretty perfect-looking curls, just crazy all over the place frizz, curls & waves. I straighten it everyday. I LOVE my hair in the winter & I'm cursing it everyday in the summer!

It definitely can be awkward sitting w/others if they don't talk.

Look at Queens 1st post & you'll see her cup!

Hi! I'm finally coming out of lurkdom - trying to figure out how to post etc (I should probably ask my 7 yr old to help - lol.) Hope you have room for a Jersey girl.

You have a beautiful family. Your DH totally reminds me of mine (especially functioning on no sleep!) Can't wait to hear more!

:welcome: I'm glad you came out from lurking to say hi!
I know what you mean about that you should ask your 7 yr old.
I've had to get my DD to help me figure out my Ipod touch several times now!
Yes, this Carolina girl has room for a Jersey girl!

Those CBR pics make me want to be there again soooo bad!!

LOVE that night pic! You have such a beautiful family.

Beirgarten looks so nifty. I bet it's fun. I could never get past the idea of sitting with strangers during a meal though. Blah. Someday..

Every time I see Levi wearing that hat, I can't help but smile. :rotfl: Even if you didn't want it really, it has to be such a sweet memory now. :goodvibes

Thanks! I think the Epcot ball is soooo beautiful at night!
You really should try Beirgarten at least once!
I'm glad you're enjoying the hat! ;)

thanks for the link i will use that next time.
:thumbsup2
that is if i can get candi to eat there again.

she wasnt a big fan of the restaurant.

I've finally found time to catch up on everyone's TR's, looks like you all had a great start to your vacation. The GPS can be confusing sometimes, she told us to exit straight and we were suppose to turn right. Oh well. Glad you got to explore DTD. Looks like a very fun first day in the parks, what a great Epcot day. :)

I woke up at 5:45 to start getting ready for our CRT reservations at 8:20.
Tinkerbell left us a gift by the door last night!:tink:

I’m hoping to get a good family picture of all of us in front of the castle this morning to use for our Christmas card picture. I asked Levi to leave the rodent behind this morning for the pictures & he can wear it later today.

I spoke too soon yesterday about the no humidity. I could feel my hair fry as soon as we go to the bus stop. We take the MK bus & arrive at 8:00.

This will be our 1st time eating at the Castle. I did not make reservations for CRT on the last visit because I knew Levi was not interested in meeting in Cinderella, so why spend the extra money or use the extra TS credit.
But, they both wanted to go inside the castle so bad. I told them it’s just a restaurant inside.
From a child’s point of view, being able to go inside is really cool. :smooth:

For this trip, I make the CRT reservation. They do not think we are going because I’ve told them that it’s too expensive to eat at CRT.

Right before we start walking on Main Street, I let them know that we’re not eating at Crystal Palace for breakfast, but Cinderella's Castle!
They’re excited & do the happy dance! :dance3:

We’re all so excited to finally be at our favorite park & walking down Main Street!

I LOVE the fall decorations

Look at the crane! It was there our whole week!!! Brad thought in the PP CD, it would be edited out of our pictures & I didn’t think it would. I, unfortunately, was right.

I think we're amazed by the nothingness in Lexi's hand. :confused3

I LOVE this picture of Lexi & Levi!

I don’t think I have my perfect Christmas card picture this morning.

It's time to go to our reservations.

Lexi had her picture made with Cinderella.

Going up to eat!

WDW2010051.jpg

We were ready to be seated & the hostess took us to our table. She walked us to a table against the wall, but not the wall w/windows. When we got there, she said, “No, lets go to this table.” And, Score!! She took us to a different table BY THE WINDOW!!!!
I was on :cloud9:

The food was great & I finally remembered to take a few food pics for the TR! :thumbsup2
Our cinnamon rolls are missing, because the kids devoured those as soon as they were on the table.

A definite must-do at least once.:thumbsup2

Nice updates Amy! Looks like you all had a wonderful time. I've thought about booking this ADR for my family.........purely so DW can enjoy it. None of us menfolk care anything about pictures with Princesses!!! :rolleyes1

Looks like a wonderful morning at MK. :cloud9: CRT looks amazing. We've never been there. With a house full of boys no one seems to be too interested. :confused3 Maybe someday I will just make them go!! :rotfl:

Great pictures! :goodvibes

That's a really nice picture of Lexi and Levi. I think the family one after that looks pretty nice too.

I've never seen a "magic" shot without the magic. Bummer.

Way to score a window seat!

Hi! Love your TR! Thanks for the post links, both at the beginning of the TR and at the end of each post. Makes it so much easier to follow along. Your kids are so beautiful! I always thought twins would be really cool.

I love Lexi's dress! Did you make it or have someone else?

Ugh, that crane would've made me so mad!

We love eating at CRT! Isn't it so neat in there?! How awesome you got a table by the window. We haven't been for breakfast before, so we'll have to try it!

GREAT UPDATE!!! Although I worked at BBB, I've never eaten at CRT. It was always a huge goal of mine when I lived down there and it never came true! Oh well, gotta leave some things undone for the future!!

The food looks great too! Do you think the price (OOP) would have been worth it..same with your 2 credits to TS. Having kids for sure would make it worth to me..just once like you said but as adults, I would feel maybe like I would get a better value for 2 credits at a signature restaurant?? What's your opinion on it??? The food looked yummy!!

Ps.. your dress is super cute! It looks like black and blue ones that I have from Old Navy!

Great update!!! :thumbsup2 I LOVE the pictures you were able to get on Main Street (too bad the PP pictures had the crane still... :sad2:) But still, they are GREAT!

Wow, your breakfast at CRT looked like such a fun time... especially with the window seat upgrade!!! The pictures make we want to go there now too!!! :rotfl: (my restaurant list increases practically by the day!)

I am catching up slowly but I think I am all caught up now! That is a great plan to head down for 1 day before checking into WDW. It looks like you all had a long drive but at least you managed to get your nails done before your first day, LOL. I always get a pedicure before vacation too. It's my start of vacation indulgence! LOL

Your first day at Epcot sounds like so much fun! We love Akershus and Biergarten too! Your family outfits are so cute, and I love the way you decorated your windows.

Belle at MK looks like the same Belle as at Akershus but with the different outfits!

Can't wait to read the rest of your TR!!

Such beautiful pictures! The kids must have been so excited to find out about CRT. I always try to keep certain things about our Disney trips secret but I get so excited that I always end up telling everyone! I love the pic of Lexi and Levi walking up the ramp to the castle it looks like they are all alone in the park. How annoying about the crane - I wonder if it will still be there when we go in January.

Great update Amy!

I love how excited the kids got when you told them where you were really going for breakfast! There is something truly magical about eating there...everyone should do it once!

Love the pic of the kids too...it's great....but I also like the one family shot!! You have a beautiful family!!!!

Ugh...the crane! We had the crane in 1997 (the were taking down the 25th anniversary cake), in 2000, (castle repair work) and 2006 (taking down the castle bling from when they put all that gold crud on the castle). When we went in 2007 - there was finally NO CRANE. We were so excited...our friends we went with thought we were nuts, shouting "No Crane, No Crane!" down Main Street. The crane was up one of the days in '08 - but since then we've been pretty fortunate.

They SHOULD make a Photopass template that you can cover the crane with!

CRT is super-overpriced for what you get - but sort of HAVE to do it at some point...we did it twice with free dining in '07 and '08 - Felt it was better because it was "free" - DD wants to do it again, I'm thinking maybe next year.

It's nice that Lexi said it was her favorite meal of the trip - kinda makes that price worth it. Right?

Send me your picture and I'll edit that crane right out! PM me if you want me email address.

You are wonderful :flower3:

Nice updates Amy! Looks like you all had a wonderful time. I've thought about booking this ADR for my family.........purely so DW can enjoy it. None of us menfolk care anything about pictures with Princesses!!! :rolleyes1

You should book it! To get a picture of all 3 boys w/Cinderella would be a priceless picture for ya'll to look back at, even if you're laughing at it. And, I think your wife deserves a date in the castle for having to live with 4 boys!princess:

Looks like a wonderful morning at MK. :cloud9: CRT looks amazing. We've never been there. With a house full of boys no one seems to be too interested. :confused3 Maybe someday I will just make them go!! :rotfl:

Great pictures! :goodvibes

You should make them go at least once so you can go in the castle. At least the boys get swords. You can say tell them they're going to be pirates storming the castle pirate:
