Disney Vacay with the Love Bugs (New 6/23 update ~ Chef Mickeys)

Oh gosh, the Sum of All Thrills scares me! I guess that's because I'm claustrophobic.

I really want to try Biergarten sometime! It looks fun. I'll have to check into what food is on the menu!

Yay! You got a Grey Goose slushie! They are so good! :cloud9: Especially on a hot summer day!

Aw..so cute to see Lexi and Levi getting along. :)

Great update! :thumbsup2 Biergarten looks SO amazing... I have never been but I'd like to someday! Your seats were perfect!

I love what you did with your room decorations - the lights and the pirate inspired Mickey heads were a great touch!!! I need to decorate our window next trip... you gave me inspiration! :goodvibes

Great update! Poor Lexi and the roller coaster ride. Biergarten is someone where my Hubby always wants to go but I am nervous the kids and I wont find much to eat. Looks fun though.

QUOTE=marvali;38969850]DSs and I never have an issue posing with the princesses.......unless of course they take one look, then run away screaming.........[/QUOTE]

:rotfl:

 Hi Amy! I'm caught up, using your handy-dandy links. :thumbsup2

So far it looks like the makings of a great vacation. I really liked the first Test Track pic, great expressions on that one. My favorite of the hats was the popcorn one...I hadn't noticed it when we were there.

Glad your here & Yay for chp links! I feel kind of special having someone as popular as you on here :rotfl:

Oh, I would have died if Lexi picked out the popcorn one to wear all week!

Oh sure, right after I post that I'm caught up, you go and post another mega-update. Well, nice try, but I've read that one too, so now you're going to have to get writing again.

 I think I was writing my post when you posted.

We love Biergarten. Nobody's danced when I've been there, but I've been there for lunch so maybe people are a little more inhibited at that hour?

What a great first day!

Your Biergarten pics look so much better than mine. For a second I thought of stealing your pics to post on my report .
Next time you need to go for dinner so you can get your groove on!

Love your Epcot nite pic, love the pic of Lexi sleeping, LOVE pink polka dotted suitcases! :rotfl:

Great update!

We never took breaks, so Lexi had to get in naps when she could!
Those are some cute suitcases. And, did you notice her pink polka dotted suitcases matched the shirt she on?

Getting all caught up here! Just got back from Disney on Sunday.

Great update. Looks like a fun evening in Epcot. Great pictures! I know what you mean about the humidity and long hair - they do not agree! :scared1::rotfl:

:yay:You're back! How was your trip? I can't wait to read all about it!

I love the lights and decorations!!!!! I always thought the seating in Germany was odd too but I guess people manage lol. Can't wait to hear how breakfast was!!

Thanks!
The seating is odd. They definitely can fit more people in that way!

Glad you got to walk around WS and got to try a GGLCS. I tried my first this trip as well.:drinking1

Biergarten sounds interesting. There are so many places in Epcot I would like to try.

Love your window! Good job!

I started my tr. Link is in my signature!:)

The Grey Goose was good!
You definitely need to try Biergarten on your next trip, it was entertaining!
I'm ready to read all about your trip!:goodvibes

Woo-Hoo! Crazy day... i was thinking you needed a big iced coffee instead of grey goose to keep moving that late into Epcot! Im surprised it took so long for your room to be ready, but at least you ended up where you wanted to be :goodvibes

Thanks for the inside look at Biergarten too - I had never seen or even thought to check it out before, but now im thinking of booking it next trip.

... and dont hate me for this, but even in the heat Im shocked (and secretly loving) the fact that Levi kept that hat on all day!! Hilarious! I dont even know if its Chip or Dale... red or black nose, but which is which!? Thanks for more great updates!

I don't drink coffee, but that is definitely what I needed by the end of the week to keep me going! I was too excited on our 1st day to feel tired!

Biergarten was very fun. I didn't get any good pictures of the inside of the restaurant, but it's very pretty inside. You definitely need to book it on your next trip. Book dinner so you can dance!

I still don't even like looking at that hat in the pictures! He wore it most of the week.
Levi's hat is Dale (red nose). Chip has the black nose (Chip = Chocolate Chip).

The Sum of All Thrills was fun, but if you're claustrophobic, you DON'T want to do it! I'm not & when they put the door down on me, it made me very nervous at first!

Biergarten is fun. You should try it. It's buffet, so you can probably find something that you would like. It had a lot of great salads on the bar. Just book dinner so you can dance:cool1:.

The Grey Goose was great!

Great update! :thumbsup2 Biergarten looks SO amazing... I have never been but I'd like to someday! Your seats were perfect!

Yes, you should try Biergarten!
The lights were fun to see when we came back from the parks at night. I hooked them to a timer so they wouldn't be on all day. And, I laminated our Mickey Heads so we can just use the same ones on our next trip.

Great update! Poor Lexi and the roller coaster ride. Biergarten is someone where my Hubby always wants to go but I am nervous the kids and I wont find much to eat. Looks fun though.

You should go ahead & go for your DH. I wish I remembered to take pics of the food or at least write down what we ate. There were not a lot of different items that Lexi & Levi ate. But, they're were a few kid friendly items so they just ate a lot of 2 or 3 things instead of little portions of 6-8 things. Does that make sense what I'm saying? I'm trying to explain it right. But, I think your girls would do fine eating there.

We never took breaks, so Lexi had to get in naps when she could!
Those are some cute suitcases. And, did you notice her pink polka dotted suitcases matched the shirt she on?

I did! Being "blessed" with boys, I'm kinda envious of the girly girl stuff. My favorite cousin is having her first baby, and I'm praying for a girl, so I can get her matching pink luggage and shirts! :rotfl:

We went to ride Mission Space. We do Green side because Brad cannot do spinning rides & he’s afraid Orange might make him sick .
Yeah, it has that effect on me too......not the ride, just the color!!! :rotfl2: Actually, I can't do spinning rides either, so Tea Cups is not even a consideration, but MS nevers bothers me. I think it is everything flying by that bothers me, and I always follow the directions on MS and keep my head back against the headrest, and focus on the screen in front of me, so I never even feel the spinning, just the G-forces.
As soon as we were on the bus, Lexi fell asleep.
WDW2010218-1.jpg
Funny how the kids can go and go and go, but as soon as they sit still for more than a second....... I have a picture of Drew that I took down at him sleeping on my lap on the bus like that.
We quickly unpack because I know we’ll be too tired when we get back. Lexi & I decorate our window.
(Marvali, how do you like our lights around the window?)
Love the pirate theme! As for the lights............... :lmao:
But, 1st we have to get a PP picture. My family knows better to complain about having to stop for pictures, they’ve been warned!

Photo0017FourBySix.jpg
You do have a great looking family! I'm just wondering where it all went sadly wrong....... :confused3 ;)
This day has been perfect, low crowds, great weather & NO humidity! That was the very best part, my hair still looked like it did when we left our hotel this morning. I couldn’t believe it!
I'm still waiting on a trip like that! My hair is ALWAYS unmanageable when we are at Disney!!! :scared1:

What? You thought I was meaning the low crowds and great weather???
One of my friends is coming to WDW the week after us. I sent her a text letting her know that the weather is great & that I’m having a great hair day with no humidity! She has long, thick hair too, so this is important information.
With his DISsertation on the consistency of Disney shampoo, I'm guessing Glenn will agree with you!!! :rotfl:
We’re called in Beirgarten. It is beautiful inside! I’m wondering where we’ll be sitting because I know it will be with other families.
We haven't tried Biergarten yet. I'm such an introvert, I don't know if I could handle being at a table with other families..... :confused3

Actually, I'm not a big fan of vinegar, so I would be limited to just the meats, breads and potatoes.............. hmmm, where is that number for Disney Dining??? :goodvibes
There was not a lot of variety that Lexi & Levi liked because they’re not adventurous eaters. They did get plenty of seconds of what they did like, no one left hungry.
The oldest two DSs would probably do well, but Drew I'm not so sure.........
The show started while we ate & it was fun to watch.
I think the show would definitely be the highlight based on all the reviews I have read from people I trust.........and Glenn's too! :rotfl2:
Lexi & I doing the Chicken Dance on the floor. :dancer:
Look for the goofy hat & you’ll see us!
:)
The model trains were pretty cool.
:thumbsup2 One of my faves too!
We find a place to sit for Illuminations. I looked down & saw Levi scratching Lexi’s back. I had to take a picture for proof that he can be sweet to his sister.

WDW2010024.jpg
You sure you didn't share your drink with him??? :rotfl:

So many new things we hope to experience in WS on our upcoming trip!!!

Next time you need to go for dinner so you can get your groove on!
Oh you don't know what you are asking........

Well then now I know I'm never doing that.

Oh Biergarten is a buffet? Well, then we should all be able to find something on there we like!

I keep reading everybody's reports and they say how fun Sum of all Thrills is but we have yet to do it.

Too bad all you had time to do at the resort was drop your bags and decorate your window. Hopefully, you did have time to explore the resort sometime during your stay.

Sounds like you had a great time at Biergarten. That's another restaurant we have yet to try. I would have been like you...."do I talk to the other people at my table or leave them alone?".

Glad to see that you were able to watch Illuminations. Where did you guys sit while watching it?

great update, i still havent been on MS so you are beating me there, something about it im just not sure...maybe next trip ill try the tame side of it.

we ended up getting in there to eat when the show was ending and we were done eating before the next one started, so we missed most of it.

i bet parker would liked to see all the dancing and music stuff...but there is always next time.
:thumbsup2
thanks for the extra pictures of the show you shared.

Glad your here & Yay for chp links! I feel kind of special having someone as popular as you on here :rotfl:
oh great glenns head just got a little bigger...

Oh gimme a break!

Your Biergarten pics look so much better than mine. For a second I thought of stealing your pics to post on my report .

Yours are great, don't worry about it. But, be honest...did you not have food pictures because there were other people seated at your table? It can be a little intimidating taking pictures of your food with other people watching!

You do have a great looking family! I'm just wondering where it all went sadly wrong....... :confused3 ;)

Now, Marv...they look like "the all-American family". I'm surprised Disney didn't ask them to be in a commercial.

I'm still waiting on a trip like that! My hair is ALWAYS unmanageable when we are at Disney!!! :scared1:

I've seen him at Disney, people. He's not lying (this time).

With his DISsertation on the consistency of Disney shampoo, I'm guessing Glenn will agree with you!!! :rotfl:

It was Disney conditioner Marv. Apparently you weren't paying attention.

oh great glenns head just got a little bigger...

I am so thankful that I have you and Marv around to keep me humble.

Yeah, everyone knows the whole reason Glenn's PTRs and TRs are so popular is from people coming to read the banter between Dan and Marv!!! :thumbsup2

It's like driving past an accident scene...you just have to look, even though you don't want to.

Instead of individual comments Glenn, I'm just going to take the easy way out........you are really on top of your game today! :lmao:

Yeah, everyone knows the whole reason Glenn's PTRs and TRs are so popular is from people coming to read the banter between Dan and Marv!!! :thumbsup2

::yes::

and you would think for a thank you that we could win a judy-do contest every now and then,

at least send us a PM to let us know what time he is going to post an update so we can be waiting for it.
:confused3

What a great update Amy! I love Biergarten, but unfortunately Jasmine doesn't, so we don't go anymore:scared1: Looks like you had such a fun time!

I have to say I am lovin the hat pictures....they just make me smile.

I am so happy you found the GGS stand and that you waited for 20 minutes...I would have waited too! The reason mine was in a big cup was because they just opened and she didn't think it was "slushy" enough, so she gave me it in a bigger glass cause she felt bad.....it tasted just fine:thumbsup2 I have heard you can ask for it in the bigger glass but they only fill it half way....she filled mine all the way....I told her she was my new best friend:hug:

Amy, I love your window! The lights were a great touch! I had to laugh when you commented on your hair. When I saw the pic of Lexi sleeping on the bus, I thought, "Wow, how'd her hair stay perfect??" I have long naturally curly hair and nearly all of our summer pics are of me with it pulled completely up. I straighten it most of the winter. Maybe someone can look at my Jan. pictures and say, "Wow, her hair stayed perfect!" :lmao:

I totally understand about the dilemma over talking to people at your table. We sat with a family of four (parents and two girls) at Teppan Edo. I talked to them a little, but since the wife kept having private conversations with her husband, I didn't bother them anymore. :confused3

Queen, I don't think I have seen you with "your" drink yet in your TR. :rolleyes1

Amy, keep up the great reporting.

Hi! I'm finally coming out of lurkdom - trying to figure out how to post etc (I should probably ask my 7 yr old to help - lol.) Hope you have room for a Jersey girl.

You have a beautiful family. Your DH totally reminds me of mine (especially functioning on no sleep!) Can't wait to hear more!

Those CBR pics make me want to be there again soooo bad!!

LOVE that night pic! You have such a beautiful family.

Beirgarten looks so nifty. I bet it's fun. I could never get past the idea of sitting with strangers during a meal though. Blah. Someday..

Every time I see Levi wearing that hat, I can't help but smile. :rotfl: Even if you didn't want it really, it has to be such a sweet memory now. :goodvibes

I did! Being "blessed" with boys, I'm kinda envious of the girly girl stuff. My favorite cousin is having her first baby, and I'm praying for a girl, so I can get her matching pink luggage and shirts! :rotfl:

I hope you get that girl cousin. There are definitely so many more things out there to buy for girls than boys. It is so frustrating. I keep saying I need to design items to be sold for boys. I think I could get rich!

Yeah, it has that effect on me too......not the ride, just the color!!!

LOL

I have a picture of Drew that I took down at him sleeping on my lap on the bus like that.

awww, how sweet

We haven't tried Biergarten yet. I'm such an introvert, I don't know if I could handle being at a table with other families..... :confused3

You need to try it! I need to search your PTR to see where all you're eating at because I don't remember.
You need to take lessons from your friend Glennboo & try chp links, it'll help me search! ;)

You sure you didn't share your drink with him??? :rotfl:

Maybe you're on to something. He may have snuck a sip on me!:drinking:

I keep reading everybody's reports and they say how fun Sum of all Thrills is but we have yet to do it.

I can't believe as many times that you've been to WDW, you have not tried Sum of All Thrills or Beirgarten! You could've taken mama dancing!

We did get to eventually tour the resort & it was beautiful!

I think we sat at the end of WS where you start to enter FW.

we ended up getting in there to eat when the show was ending and we were done eating before the next one started, so we missed most of it.

i bet parker would liked to see all the dancing and music stuff...but there is always next time.
:thumbsup2
thanks for the extra pictures of the show you shared.

oh great glenns head just got a little bigger...

If you go to this link http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ it tells the times of the shows.
I made our reservations around the performance time. I timed it so the show would start right after we were seated & it all worked out as planned.
Just save that site for the next time you plan your trip.

The trip was wonderful. :goodvibes I am doing a review on the BWI now and will get the TR started pretty soon!

Yay! :goodvibes

Yeah, everyone knows the whole reason Glenn's PTRs and TRs are so popular is from people coming to read the banter between Dan and Marv!!! :thumbsup2

You're probably right!

Yours are great, don't worry about it. But, be honest...did you not have food pictures because there were other people seated at your table? It can be a little intimidating taking pictures of your food with other people watching!

You're right. Everytime I took pics of our food, I would always look around to make sure no one was watching me!

It was Disney conditioner Marv. Apparently you weren't paying attention.

We didn't get Disney conditioner. We just got the cheap bottle where the shampoo & conditioner are all-in-one. I feel jipped!
