Disney vacation photo books?

I use Shutterfly for almost all my photobooks. I love them. I've used persnickity prints with my last Disney book I did. I printed out the pages individually and then added stickers and other embellishments to them. The first set of pages they sent me were really dark though and I had to get them to reprint them. Not sure what route I'll go this next time around.

Oh my goodness I'm loving all these Disney kits from KellyBell! Thank you for posting the link!

I have made several annual family photo albums at Shutterfly in the past. However, for our first family vacation to WDW in September, I ended up printing my favorite 300+ vacation photos (a small percentage of my photos-LOL) at Walgreens at 9 cents each and placing them in a leather Pioneer 3 pocket style archival photo album with memo space. I knew if I made a photo book online I would have used fewer pictures and/or reduced them in size to make the price manageable. And I wanted all of them! LOL I guess (counting some extra pictures I didn't use) I probably spent $32 on photos for the one album and around $22 on the album, so I'm not sure if I saved money or not. :confused3 But I am happy with the finished product and look at the photos often.

I was annoyed that the kids' Disney autograph books sold at WDW did not fit my 4 by 6 photos without trimming about 3/4 inch off. They could have made the pockets larger to accommodate the MM+ photos with Disney captions/clip art.

Also, look at groupon and living social for deals on photobooks. You can usually get them very cheap and they are from the big companies not unknown vendors. I got a snapfish book for $10 free shipping with a groupon last year.

I'm a digital scrapbooking designer. The only "Disney" themed kit in my shops is a Frozen themed one that I did recently. Here: http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=10011481&cat=661&page=1 or Here: http://www.thedigichick.com/shop/Frozen-Kit.html There are so many great shops out there with some being more high quality than others and a quick search for digital scrapbooking store will bring up lots of options and you can search for what you want. I will say that an honest digital scrapbooking designer will not include the Mickey Head, character likenesses, etc. in their products as that is copyright infringement and many of the consignment stores take copyright very seriously. Many designers will include colors and themes that are Disney in feeling so that is what you will find in most shops. Any of the forums associated with the shops along with the blogs will have lots of information about how to do digital scrapbooking. You can use programs like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements but there are plenty of free programs out there that will allow you to layer the papers, elements, and photos into a page. You can make your pages and then upload them to a site like Shutterfly and use them as a whole page photo to make your book. I usually use Shutterfly or Snapfish. I also have a Disney photobook from their site from 2011 when it was part of our "Free Dining" package offer (we had to buy it to get the free dining essentially) and it's very nice but they are way over priced.

We used Blurb for our Disney books as well as our kids wedding photo albums and were happy with the results.

FYI Disney photo books are on sale until January 25, 2015
20% off
code Makeabook

(They look like great books, but I'd need a separtate one for each park! and prob for the resort too!)

That is a really awesome site! I love all the MM heads and everything..that's one thing I wish shutterfly had! Is it just as easy to use mixbook as it is shutterfly?

I really may have to look at this site for doing our Disney photo books...

I remembered this thread, and thought I'd come back and update - Shutterfly has a Disney Adventures theme now! It is a storytellers theme, so there is a small extra fee for using it, but I'm excited to use it on our next trip's photo book! I thought other Disney fans would want to know this option is out there now!

I have used several. For the price, I like Shutterfly.

A few years ago Snapfish had some Disney books you could do for an additional fee, but the quality of their product is very disappointing.
