Not quite sure what forum this goes in...

Anyone else get this invite in the mail for NY or somewhere else?

Rochester Show is Nov. 13-16. What days are the NYC shows? Any other cities out there where this is planned?

Interesting...I live in NJ too and I got one for Rochester. NYC is a lot closer! :confused3

I got an invite to one in Rochester NY. We're in Buffalo so we're only about and hour and 15 min. away but we're not going to go.

New York, New York :) Wonder if they'll have any new incentives on the road show.....Hasn't the Chicago place had special deals not available in the World in the past? Has DVC done a traveling sales pitch previously? (Sorry if this is obvious- new to all this....)

Is this show only for DVC members, or can non-members go, too? I'm right outside of NYC, and would like to go. Will it be in Manhattan, or another boro? Thanks.

Let me see if I can get this to work... (Edit: sorry it's a tad croooked.)

Oh, and I don't think there actually is a NYC show. I think the person who posted that misread the flyer, saw "NY" and the word "Manhattan" and assumed it was NYC.

Understandable mistake.

I went to the website. It is only for a Rochester, NY show. Are there different URLs for different area shows? Or is Rochester the only location?

Just, as a side note, if you have never been there before, the Strong Museum is worth the trip on it's own as are some of the other tourist things in that area.

I'm wondering why they wouldn't choose a location more central to the state? Please don't flame me here, nothing wrong with Rochester, to me it just seems to limit attendance because of the distant for the rest of the state, Long Island, Jersey, CT, etc.

I wish there was one closer, I'd love to attend (and maybe do a little add on at AKV????;) )

Yes, the website is only for responding to that particular invitation. No one seems to have any additional info about other shows. I suppose you could call DVC and ask.

I went to check out their site. It looks awesome. Wish my kids were younger. http://www.strongmuseum.org/

No flames from me, I was wondering the same thing.

The Strong Museum is AWESOME!!! My girls, DD7 pooh: and DD10 princess:, absoutely love it and we go all the time. We got an invitation yesterday, and we didn't hesistate to sign up. It combines two of our families favorite things - Disney and the Strong Museum. Plus, we only live 2 miles from the museum. It's interesting though my invitation only said the show was Nov 15 and 16th. I wonder if they have a separate presentation for nonDVC members. We don't belong. We're going to the Sunday show at 1:00p.

Can anyone tell me what they do at these shows besides the sales pitch?

We are going! I have been dying to take the kids to the Strong Museum anyway. And I never thought Disney would have anything close enough to us to be worth the drive.

Maybe they picked Rochester as it is somewhat in the middle of Buffalo/Albany/Syracuse???

I was ecstatic. I always get promo flyers for different events for cosmetic companies, magazines, etc, and everything is ALWAYS in NYC and I just don't consider a 7 hour drive worth it.

Not flaming anyone for wondering about the downstate thing, of course, but I did smile when it came and I saw that someone remembered we were over here near the lake. ;)

Also, the Strong Museum is an amazing place...I am not surprised Disney picked it. :thumbsup2

Maybe Rochester was selected because folk in upstate NY, what with lake effect snow, really REALLY need a Florida vacation? LOL
